Anthony Michael Hall was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and a caller wanted to know which movie or television has he done does he wish he could delete from his career. At first he said, “Oh, I got a bunch.” Then he settled on a movie called A Gnome Named Gnorm. After watching the trailer for the 1990 movie, I do not know what he is talking about. I think it is looks like the best film in his career, even ahead of Sixteen Candles and Weird Science.
What do you think of the trailer of A Gnome Named Gnorm?
UPDATE: Anthony Michael also played Plead the Fifth, and he revealed which Brat Packer got the most action. Believe it or not, it is not Rob Lowe. To hear that answer, then click here!
I do not know what is going in the NYC talk show world, but for some reason the make hosts want to make it the Summer of the ‘stache. Yesterday, Jimmy Fallon declared he was growing one and today, Andy Cohen revealed he already has. Why? All he is said was, “If I grew a mustache to celebrate today’s paperback release of SUPERFICIAL, would you be: A. More inclined to buy it B. Less inclined to buy it C. No change D. More inclined to think I am douchey E. Just confused.”
Boys, unless it is a porn ‘stache, in the words of KC and the Sunshine Band, “Baby give it up. Give it up, Baby give it up.” Sorry they just do not look good. It is just one step up from the soulless soul patch.
There are different ways a celebrity knows that they have made it. Seeing themselves on TV in an ad, reading their name in the newspaper and for Andy Cohen it was seeing himself plastered on a huge a$$ billboard in NYC.
While the host was driving down 7th Avenue, he saw a billboard for Love Connection, pulled over, recorded himself with this massive mug in the background and plotzed all over himself. Since it is Manhattan, he thought people recognize him due to the massive poster, but they didn’t care. They just kept walking as he sat their in awe of himself.
What I love about this, is that even though he has been on TV for like ever, he can still get excited about his sucess. He has every reason to because Love Connection is connecting with audiences. If you missed it last week, then you can check it out tonight at 9p on Fox.
Yesterday when Armie Hammer was on Watch What Happens Live, and Andy Cohen wanted to know all, and I do mean all, about his kiss with Leonardo DiCaprio in J Edgar.
The first thing the Bravo host needed to find out is if Leo has good breath? The Lone Ranger seemed to imply he does not. Which is a good thing that there no tongue was involved between the two men. But that doesn’t that mean that DiCaprio’s dreamy eyes didn’t him give him a slight boner during their lip lock! And there you have what a lot of Victoria Secret’s models already know.
While Hammer didn’t have a good experience with his co-star’s breath, Zac Efron had quite the opposite with The Rock in Baywatch. The High School Musical graduate told James Corden on The Late Late Show that DJ tasted like a Winterfresh commercial when you kiss him. How would he characterize their smooch? Efron said, “It was crazy, he is good at that too. Jeez…He is just the best at everything…It was an awesome kiss.”
I don’t know about you, but given the choice to make out with Leo or Dwayne, I would pick Johnson every time. Who doesn’t want to feel like they living a Winterfresh when they make out?
When I heard that Fox was bringing back Love Connection with Andy Cohen as the host, I didn’t know what to expect. I was not sure what they were going to do to modernize it and if that modernization would ruin what made the original version so enjoyable. After watching the first episode, I am happy there is a perfect mix from the old and new versions, so you are going to want to make a date with it tonight and every Thursday this Summer at 9p.
The episode starts off with a suitor in a video describing why they decided to do the dating show. Then they come out to talk to Andy and we get to see the 3 people they went on a date with. As we meet each potential lover, we get to learn how they rated each other on just their appearances only. Next up we get hear how their dates went both live on the show and with confessions that were recorded on the date. Finally, it is time for them to decide which of the three they want to go out with again. If they audience picks the same person, the suitor gets $10,000. If not, they have to choose the date or the money. It will be interesting to see how many have a love connection and how many have a money connection.
Earlier this week, I was on a conference call with Cohen and he previewed the upcoming season.
What type of daters will we see?
AC: Oh my Gd, we’ve got a great lesbian group of daters, one of whom comes out to her mother on the air. We’ve got a man who is in his 70’s who went on his first Tinder date or a first online date recently and the woman stood him up. So we set him up with three dates. We’ve got the gay guys; we have a surprising Real Housewife. We have a lot of big ones.
Who plans the date?
AC: They [the three daters] plan the dates [with the suitor]. We give them $500 and say do anything with it.
Did the show make any Love Connections?
AC: Yes, you have updates on everybody and it’s incredible how many people are still dating and we’re keeping the updates kind of up to the minute.
What made him want to the show?
AC: It’s just I loved the format, I loved asking awkward questions. It just felt like the perfect marriage of a show for me, of format.
How is he as a matchmaker?
AC: I’ve had matchmaking successes for people who have wound up having great dates or hooking up, but I have not hooked up a couple that has wound up getting married.
Would he sit on the other side of the couch?
AC: I would go on three dates but I don’t know if I would do it on TV.
