Even since American Idol made the move from Fox to ABC, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke have been the judges. Would season 6 finally be the year the network tries something new? Nope, they will all be back, along with Ryan Seacrest as the host. Maybe they will get the seven-year itch?

Ryan Seacrest revealed on Live with Kelly and Ryan today that he had to change his under during American Idol yesterday.
As soon as I read that headline, I thought he sh!t in his pants. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Instead, the underwear he was wearing didn’t work with his suit because it showed off a bulge that the family-friendly audience would not approve of seeing.
So during a break, the host’s suit stylist, Miles, came up to him and told him he would have to change his briefs. Well, he told Miles that he didn’t bring an extra pair with him. What to do? What to do? Miles’ solution was that Seacrest could wear his tighty whities.
What did Seacrest do? He changed into Miles’ shorter and tighter underies. I am with Kelly Ripa on this, and that is so gross. There is no way I would’ve done it. Seacrest could have just kept his jacket buttoned up.
There are things that I will do for a job, but I will quit before I do that. Would you wear someone else’s underwear?
I seriously cannot comment anymore because I am so like grossed out to the max. Maybe it is a woman thing, but so yuck.
Yesterday, the Top 7 performed on American Idol. However, only five sang on the stage. That is because Ryan Seacrest announced at the beginning of the episode that the other two tested positive for COVID-19 since last week’s show.
Noah Thompson was diagnosed earlier this week, so he performed live from his hotel room. While Fritz Hager got the results yesterday morning. Therefore, they used his rehearsal videos for his performances.
Were their performances good enough to move them forward to the Top 5? Yes, they were. Hopefully, both of them will be feeling better by Sunday’s live show.
If not, maybe they will bring back Jay Copeland and Christian Guardino, who were eliminated last night.
On Sunday, Katy Perry dressed up as Ariel from Little Mermaid. That means that she wore a mermaid’s tail like the Disney Princess. The costume department did such a good job with it that she couldn’t move her legs when it was on.
Well, she decided to lean back in her swivel chair. And as you can guess, she fell over backwards and couldn’t get up. So, how did Luke Bryan react? He laughed out loud. Or, as he said, “We all have that one friend like…me!! Sorry @Katy Perry #americanidol #falling”
The Country singer is right, and to my friends, I am him! But, then again, it was almost all of us on Sunday! Because lots of us are all a little bit sadist. I am just a lot of it.
Kenedi Anderson was a fan favorite on American Idol, but the 17-year-old is no longer competing on the singing competition.
Ryan Seacrest announced her departure after her final taped performance tonight. “You might have noticed that there was no voting information during Kenedi’s performance just now,” The host said. “Since we taped these shows in Hawaii earlier, Kenedi has decided to withdraw from our show for personal reasons. We send her well wishes.”
Meanwhile, the singer wrote this on Instagram, “FOR PERSONAL REASONS, I’M UNABLE TO CONTINUE ON AMERICAN IDOL. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST DECISIONS I’VE EVER HAD TO MAKE, BUT I KNOW IT’S NECESSARY. I’M SO GRATEFUL TO AMERICAN IDOL, THE JUDGES, THE PRODUCERS, THE AMAZING CONTESTANTS, AND ALL THE FANS WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME SUCH AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE MY VOICE, CHASE MY DREAMS, FEEL SO MUCH JOY AND HAPPINESS DOING WHAT I LOVE, AND MAKE LIFELONG FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY.”
By choosing to take care of herself, Anderson proved how mature she is at her young age. Hopefully, when she is in a better place, she will once again try to live out her dream.
