Lea Michele was a guest on Therapuss, and she talked to Jake Shane about Glee, Funny Girl, and her upcoming tour.
At one point, their conversation took a turn. The actress revealed that she was on the debate team in high school, and she wrote arguments to plead her case. So, the rumors about her not being able to read really upset her.
Because she can read, and proved it by taking Shane’s notes and reading them.
So while she showed us that she can indeed read, she did not help her case when it comes to being a bitch.
Because as she was talking to him, she came off as so unlikable, I found myself liking her even less than I already did. And I don’t like her.
For example, she explained to the host why she finds that rumor so upsetting. “I fucking get so frustrated by it because I’m one of the only women in my whole family to get accepted to college,” she said to him. “You know my mother and my mother’s whole family was extremely poor from the Bronx, not very well educated. And my parents moved me from the Bronx to New Jersey to get a good education and to thrive. And I did. And my parents and my family are so proud of that, and it really was so important.”
I am from The Bronx, and I could go all Bronx on her. But why? She might be able to read. But she is not smart enough to realize that she should try to clean up her bitchy image. Because if a Funny Girl movie is made with her as Fanny Brice, the awards show will ignore her like she is Rachel Zegler, Jeremy Renner, or Jennifer Lopez. Being likable helps. Glee was a long, long time ago, and we have moved on from her.
NBC announced today that they have renewed Law & Order for season 24 and Law & Order: SVU for season 26, thus bringing their combined total of seasons to 50! And with that, even The Simpsons cannot compete with that, which was just picked up for seasons 37, 38, and 39.
Yesterday, we found out that Octavio Pisano and Juliana Martinez are leaving SVU. I would not be surprised if there will be more departures from both shows.
A few months ago, ABC announced that they were picking up another 911, and it will be based in Nashville, Tennessee.
As soon as I heard that, I was like, they need to hire some Country music stars. And today, they revealed that LeAnn Rimes and Brad Paisley’s wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley. The actresses will be joining Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw as part of the Ryan Murphy first responders’ procedural.
Personally, I was thinking someone like Jelly Roll, but they are equally as great.
Netflix released the first trailer for Ginny & Georgia’s third season, and it looks like we are going to have to binge it all in one day because wow.
Georgia has just been arrested for murder during her wedding. Thus, ruining her fairy tale ending and putting the spotlight on the Millers like never before. It’s always been Ginny and Georgia against the world, but the world has never come for them quite like this. Now, Ginny needs to see where she stands when push comes to shove – Is the two of them against the world something Ginny really wants to sign up for?
Tiffany Haddish was on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, and she said something I can relate to. However, I am surprised that the censors left it in.
What did she say? She guessed the letter D, and Pat Sajak told her it was not on board. She let out a wail and said, “Oh, that’s the story of my life too, no D.”
We know what she meant by that. Hopefully, the uptight viewers who have a D and aren’t getting what you are supposed to get with it (you know the letter O) won’t complain to the FCC about it.
