BTWF: Harrison Ford on Love, American Style
August 20th, 2025 under Before They Were Famous, Harrison Ford. [ Comments: none ]

Before Harrison Ford was a psychiatrist on Shrinking, he had only taken three years of psychology on Love, American Style. How groovy was the 30-year-old in that 1973 episode?

How close to deadline does South Park get?
August 20th, 2025 under South Park. [ Comments: none ]

Did you know that most animated shows are voiced close to a year before they air? However, South Park is not like most shows.

Because of that, they are still recording voiceovers less than 24 hours before they go to air Wednesdays at 10p on Comedy Central. That’s right. They get as close to deadline as possible.

April Stewart, who voices Wendy Testaburger, Liane Cartman, Sharon Marsh, Carol McCormick, Shelley Marsh, Mayor McDaniels, and Principal Victoria, to name a few, shared a video of what her Tuesdays into early Wednesday mornings look like. They look like her working because Trey Parker and Matt Stone are still writing the episode up until almost the last minute.

That is why they are current as they are, and the other shows seem dated.

It is also why the executives at Comedy Central eat Tums like they are Skittles!

The more you know…

A bee was caught stealing Zoë Kravitz’s spotlight
August 20th, 2025 under Austin Butler. [ Comments: none ]

Austin Butler, Zoë Kravitz, and Darren Aronofsky are in London for the premiere of their movie Caught Stealing. And the red carpet was all the buzz. Not beecause of the stars, but beecause of a bee!

The little stinger tried to let Cecil Bee DeMille know they are ready for their closeup by flying in front of the actress.

It worked. Beecause she stepped away from the cameras and let everyone buzz about the bugger!

The bee’s red carpet was such a success, I hear that they already got a three-picture deal! Welcome to show buzzness!

Caught Stealing flies into theaters on August 29th.

Ever since Dawson’s Creek ended its six-season run in 2003, fans have been wanting a reunion. And they are finally getting one.

Well, sort of. For the first time since they filmed the series finale, eleven of the cast members are getting together in New York City to raise money for Fuck Cancer and James Van Der Beek. James revealed in November that he is battling stage 3 colorectal cancer.

Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe, and Busy Phillips will be holding a table read of the pilot episode. The latter three were not part of the first episode, which aired on January 20, 1998, so the trio will be reading other parts.

Michelle Williams said in a statement, “We grew up in Capeside, and that’s a bond that will last a lifetime. We wanted to gather around our dear friend James and remind him that we are all here. We always have been, and we always will be. And I know the fans of ‘Dawson’s Creek’ feel the same way.”

And fans can be there for them by buying tickets to the table read, which will take place on September 22nd at the Richard Rodgers Theater.

If the organizers are smart, they will put it online and allow fans, outside of Manhattan, to purchase tickets to the screening.

The Morning Show is getting a reset!
August 20th, 2025 under Friends (cast), Reese Witherspoon/Ryan Phillippe. [ Comments: none ]

When The Morning Show ended its last season, UBA merged with NBN. So we have been wondering how the merger will affect everyone we know. We will finally start to see those ramifications beginning on September 17th.

Season four opens in spring 2024, almost two years after the events of season three. With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives, and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and corporate cover-ups – who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?

Having worked in national network news, after watching the trailer, this season looks a lot like what I experienced. There is a lot of backstabbing, desperation to break the story, and the behind-the-scenes is so much better than what you see on TV. Oh, the stories I could tell you, but I still have a loyalty to the job. I am an old-school journalist.
