Yesterday, the cast of Dawson’s Creek reunited, the first time in over 20 years, for a table read of the 1998 pilot to raise money for James Van Der Beek, who is battling stage 3 colorectal cancer.
Sadly, the actor was not able to be there because he got hit by two stomach viruses. The negatives of having six children is that they are germ spreaders.
Talking about those six children, Olivia, 14, Joshua, 13, Annabel, 11, Emilia, 9, Gwendolyn, 6, and Jeremiah, 2, were all there, along with their mom, Kimberly.
The Van Der Beeks joined Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe, Busy Phillips, and Lin-Manuel Miranda (who played Dawson for the night) on stage when they took their bow.
It was an emotional night for everyone involved. But the most emotional moment was when they played JVDB’s surprise message to the audience. To hear what he said, then click here!
Ever since Dawson’s Creek ended its six-season run in 2003, fans have been wanting a reunion. And they are finally getting one.
Well, sort of. For the first time since they filmed the series finale, eleven of the cast members are getting together in New York City to raise money for Fuck Cancer and James Van Der Beek. James revealed in November that he is battling stage 3 colorectal cancer.
Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe, and Busy Phillips will be holding a table read of the pilot episode. The latter three were not part of the first episode, which aired on January 20, 1998, so the trio will be reading other parts.
Michelle Williams said in a statement, “We grew up in Capeside, and that’s a bond that will last a lifetime. We wanted to gather around our dear friend James and remind him that we are all here. We always have been, and we always will be. And I know the fans of ‘Dawson’s Creek’ feel the same way.”
And fans can be there for them by buying tickets to the table read, which will take place on September 22nd at the Richard Rodgers Theater.
If the organizers are smart, they will put it online and allow fans, outside of Manhattan, to purchase tickets to the screening.
Bryce Dallas Howard was on Busy This Week, and she shared something shocking with Busy Phillips. Believe it or not, the actress has never seen her father’s show, Happy Days.
There is no particular reason why; she just never watched it. So she has never seen Ron Howard as Richie Cunningham and her Godfather, Henry Winkler, as the Fonz. And she is not sure if they know.
Since the show is still in syndication and available to own on home video, I say it is better late than never to watch the whole series!
Oh, it is not that she doesn’t want to see her dad on the small screen. She has seen him on The Andy Griffith Show and liked the show.
Busy Phillips shared a photo of herself in a pool wearing a bikini, and she has never looked better. So much so, I can’t believe she is 42. She looks better now than she did when she did Freaks & Geeks at the turn of the century.

Did you know that Busy Philipps has a talk show on E!? Well, you are not alone if you did not because she revealed that it has been cancelled.
She wrote, “Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know my show Busy Tonight won’t be continuing on the E network after May 16. I’m beyond proud of what we’ve built in such a short period of time and I’m hopeful we can find the right place for the show to live on. Goodnight you guys. I love you.✨”
I don’t know why she thinks anyone else would be interested in her show because it did not get a lot of buzz after the first week. That and it is absolutely awful. It was all about her and not the guests. I hate talk show hosts who make it all about them. She would actually interrupt guests to talk about herself. As if, the show was not enough about her to begin with. That is my theory why her talk show is cancelled.
I hope that E! is not out of the talk show business. I think they can have a successful one if they find the right host. She was not just it.
