Seth Meyers broke Lizzo!
December 14th, 2022 under Lizzo, Seth Meyers. [ Comments: none ]

Seth Meyers took Lizzo day drinking on NBC’s Late Night yesterday, and they got shitfaced. You can tell that the two of them had the best time doing it. And we had just as much watching!

There was so much laughing, even when she tried not to laugh. You have to see the Nog Nog Joke he told that had her falling out of her chair. It was so bad, but his delivery sold it, just like she told him to do.

However, that was not as funny as when he had to call his dad to apologize for the message she left on his voicemail. I wish Meyer’s mom recorded his dad’s reaction and shared it with all of us.

But it was the final minutes that will have you spit-taking like Lizzo. There was a masked man on the crew that she was convinced was Paul Rudd. So at the end, her reaction to seeing him without the mask is priceless. At that point, Meyers was the one on the floor laughing uncontrollably.

And the hardest laughter was yet to come. The singer couldn’t get out the words happy holidays without going into hysterics. Each time she failed, her laughter got deeper and louder. And then, when she tried to say the word masks, it was all over.

And with that, their day came to an end. But not without all of our stomachs hurting. Theirs from drinking too much alcohol, and ours from laughing with them.

I love Meyer’s Day Drinking segments. I just hope his liver can take it. I know mine couldn’t.

Seriously, this is just another reason why I say he is by far the best host in late night. He has the best monologues, tells the best jokes, and is the only one who can actually interview his guest correctly. I said it, and I mean it.

You are invited to party with Party Down on February 24th
December 14th, 2022 under Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, Starz!. [ Comments: none ]

Party Down, the little show that could is still coulding. That is because Starz is bringing it back for a third season after a 12-year hiatus with its original stars.

Ten years later, most of the Party Down catering team have moved on, including actor/bartender Henry Pollard (Adam Scott). After a surprise reunion, the gang (Ken Marino, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally) find themselves once again stoically enduring the procession of random parties and oddball guests all over Los Angeles.

They were too old to work as a catering crew the first go around, so it is going to be even funnier now that they are over a decade older.

As if, Ghostface is the scariest thing on an NYC subway
December 14th, 2022 under Jenna Ortega. [ Comments: none ]

Paramount released the first teaser for Scream VI with Wednesday Addams, I mean Jenna Ortega and they want us to believe we should be scared if we saw Ghostface on a subway. Please, I’ve seen Krampus, rats, roaches, and so much worse riding one. The killer ain’t got nothing on them.

That and they have the pressure of topping what Jason Vorhees did when he took Manhattan. In that movie, he committed his greatest kill. Someone said to him on a rooftop, “hit me with your best shot.” So he did, and the guy’s head went flying over several NYC blocks.

Therefore, Scream needs to do better to win this Bronx girl over with this movie when it comes out on March 10th.

Twitch, aka Stephen Boss, passed away from an apparent suicide at the age of 40. TMZ says he was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a LA hotel yesterday morning.

Twitch, who competed on So You Think You Can Dance and was a DJ and EP on Ellen, left behind a wife of 9 years, Allison Holker, and three children, Weslie Renae, 14, Maddox Laurel, 6, and Zaia, 3.

If you need help, please reach out to someone or call 988. You cannot take back a suicide.

Depression is a destructive illness, but there is help available. You might not see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it is out there, and things can only get better.

So please seek help because three kids are missing out on their dad being a big part of their lives. He will not go to their dance competitions, their graduations, their weddings, and so much more. He will look over them, but he will not be there in person to enjoy it with them.

Patty Jenkins gives an update on Wonder Woman 3
December 14th, 2022 under DC Comics. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, there were reports that DC Studios was not moving forward with Wonder Woman 3 because they were not happy with Patty Jenkins’ treatment for the film.

Yesterday, the director broke her silence on the future of the film. “Sigh… I’m not one to talk about private career matters, but I will not allow inaccuracies to continue. Here are the facts:

“I originally left Rogue Squadron after a long and productive development process when it became clear it couldn’t happen soon enough and I did not want to delay WW3 any further. When I did, Lucasfilm asked me to consider coming back to RS after WW3, which I was honored to do, so I agreed. They made a new deal with me. In fact, I am still on it and that project has been in active development ever since. I don’t know if it will happen or not. We never do until the development process is complete, but I look forward to its potential ahead.

“When there started being backlash about WW3 not happening, the attractive clickbait false story that it was me that killed it or walked away started to spread. This is simply not true. I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.

“I do not want what has been a beautiful journey with WW to land on a negative note. I have loved and been so honored to be the person who got to make these last two Wonder Woman films. She is an incredible character. Living in and around her values makes one a better person every day. I wish her and her legacy an amazing future ahead, with or without me.”

I think at this point, between James Gunn and Peter Safran just taking over DC Studios and David Zaslav killing everything good at Warner Bros Discovery, we just have to assume everything is in flux.

So in about a year, we might have a better idea of where everything stands. If any of it is still standing by then?
