I dirtied my pants watching Anthony Anderson’s Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge

Tonight at 9p on Nat Geo, Anthony Anderson does things he has never done before on Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge.

The actor shows up to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and Bear picks him up in a helicopter. As soon as they take off, Bear throws their bags out of it. If that is bad enough, Bear then throws Anderson and himself out of the plane, and they are now on the search for their bags.

This was the first time I was nervous for Anderson. The second time is when Bear tells him he has to climb down a cliff. I don’t know about the black-ish star, but I am starting to poop my pants for him. Luckily, he gets his clean when they go into a lake to get to the other side of it. That is something he didn’t like because the water is freezing.

Guess what was on the other side of the water? Their bags! Now, it is time to set up their camp for the night. As soon as the hammocks are ready, it is time for supper. Not to eat it, but to catch it. Imagine what it is like when a boy from Compton goes fishing.

Finally, it is time for sleep! However, when Anderson wakes up, Bear is gone. Now, he has to go find him. Can he do it?

Spoiler alert: I ran into Anderson last week, and he told me this is a “really good episode.” He wasn’t lying.

Not only did we get to see how strong he is physically, but we also learned what makes him so mentally strong. His mother plays a big part in that, and she is not the only one. To find out who else inspires him, you need to tune in for a literal death-defying episode.

I have a new appreciation for him because he does things I would never ever do.

Billy Gardell looks like a different man!
August 22nd, 2022 under Billy Gardell. [ Comments: none ]

Billy Gardell is back filming Bob Hearts Abishola. That means gone is the hiatus look, and hello is Bob.

However, to achieve his character’s style, the makeup and hair department had to work their magic. What do you think? Did they succeed?

I say hell yes! But it is not only the work they did, but the work, the comedian, has done on himself. He has lost a lot of weight in the last year, and boy, does it show.

Bob Hearts Abishola will be back with all new episodes on CBS September 19th.

August 22nd, 2022 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1982, Emma Samms was cast as Holly Sutton on General Hospital. Since then, she has been playing that part on and off. The last time she appeared on the Daytime Drama was in 2020. Deadline is reporting that she is be returning to the Soap Opera in October.

“I can’t believe that it’s been 40 years since I first appeared on General Hospital and that, once again, I get to play the wonderful character of Holly Sutton,” Samms told the site. “No one is more interested in what’s happened to her since we saw her two years ago, being held captive by a mysterious villain, than me!”

While we have to wait over a month to find out what happened to Holly, we know what has been happening to the actress since then. The actress has been suffering from long COVID and is finally on the other side of it.

An ’80s boy’s wet dream: Susan Lucci and Christie Brinkley!
August 22nd, 2022 under Christie Brinkley, Susan Lucci. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’80s, Susan Lucci was Soap Opera Queen and Christie Brinkley was the #1 Supermodel. However, we never saw Erica Kane and the Uptown Girl together, even though the boys wanted to recreate scenes from All My Children with them.

That was then, and here are the two ladies today. Can you believe that Lucci is 75 and Brinkley is 68 because they look younger now than they did when they were on the cover of all of the magazines 40 years ago?

Seriously, aren’t they still gorgeous?

Will Smith is not man enough to deal with a spider
August 22nd, 2022 under Will Smith. [ Comments: none ]

Will Smith might’ve thought he acted like a man when he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. However, when he saw a little spider in his house, he made his son Trey deal with it.

So Smith might have been able to take on CGI spiders in Wild, Wild West. But in real life, he is a wimp like the rest of us.

Just another reason why he is losing his action movie cred.
