Could NBC save Magnum P.I.?
June 2nd, 2022 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Out of all this year’s broadcast cancellations, the biggest surprise is when CBS cancelled Magnum P.I. Therefore, it should be no surprise that NBC Universal is looking to pick up the drama for either NBC or USA Network. Deadline is also reporting that Paramount+ is also interested, but their first choice is NBCU.

It will be interesting to see who will win out? And they better hurry up because the actor’s contracts end on June 30th. So, they will most likely make a decision before then rather than extend their contracts.

Do you want them to save the show?

BTWF: Amber Heard in Jack & Bobby
June 2nd, 2022 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Amber Heard was talking crap about Johnny Depp, she called the new girl a bitch. How innocent did the 17-year-old look in that 2004 episode?

Matthew Morrison reads his ‘flirtatious’ DM to a SYTYCD contestant

A post shared by Matthew Morrison (@matthewmorrison)

On Friday, it was announced that Matthew Morrison was fired from So You Think You Can Dance because he did not follow “production protocols.” So, that caused people to wonder what protocol did he break.

Then on Tuesday, People reported from sources that the actor was let go due to flirtatious DMs to a female contestant.

Today, the Glee star took to Instagram to defend himself by reading the DM he sent to the contestant. He explained that he and the dancer know the same choreographer, and he reached out to the contestant to get that choreographer’s number so that she could be a choreographer on the show.

But that is not what the DM said. Morrison read the DM, and he says it says, “Hey, it’s Matthew. If you don’t mind, would love to get your number and talk you through some things.”

You don’t have to work on a competition show to know that judges are not supposed to reach out to any contestant for any reason. We learned that from sitcoms like Night Court and Designing Women. Actually, didn’t Glee do that storyline?

Anyways, if that is the DM Morrison sent, I can kind of see where the dancer might have assumed he was coming on to her by saying, can I have your number so we can talk about how I can help you win the show.

That is why you have to be so careful when you send DMs to someone you don’t know because they can’t read the tone. He should’ve said, “Hi, it’s Mattew. Is there any way you have our choreographer friend’s number? I would like to call her and see if she is interested in being a choreographer on the show.”

Then she would’ve known what he meant. Either way, he should not have contacted her because that is playing favorites. And if the scandal was exposed, then it could be really bad for the show.

So the moral of the story is judges on competition shows don’t ever reach out to any contestants when the show is in production. However, after the contestant is eliminated or if they win the show, then you can reach out to them.

Morrison will be seen on next week’s pre-taped episode, and then for the live shows starting on June 15th, we will see a new judge in his place.

Beavis and Butt-Head are back dumber than ever!
June 2nd, 2022 under Paramount+. [ Comments: 10 ]

Just when you think that we couldn’t get any dumber as a nation, Beavis and Butt-Head will return to our small screens later this month. So they’re back to Outer Space in Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe streaming June 23rd on Paramount+.

According to the press release, “the dumbest science fiction movie ever made” deals with the two of them winding up at space camp through “creative sentencing” from a juvenile court judge in 1998. Mistaking a docking simulator for something else (huh huh), Beavis and Butt-Head excel at it and are asked to join the space shuttle mission in a PR move. After ruining the mission, they are left for dead in space and end up going through a black hole and reemerging back on Earth in 2022, only to discover a very different world – and find themselves considered Buttholes of Interest by the NSA, the governor of Texas, and a highly intelligent version of themselves from a parallel universe. Also they almost lose their virginity, but don’t.

Of course, they don’t lose their virginities. They wouldn’t be able to stop chuckling long enough to do it. And now, I am picturing them having sex. I am going to have to watch the trailer again to get that image out of my head.

Oh, and if this is not enough good news for you, then how about every episode of the show has been remastered, and it is streaming on Paramount+ as you read this!

Derek Hough is about to Waltz down the aisle with Hayley Erbert
June 2nd, 2022 under Dancing with the Stars, Derek Hough, Engaged?. [ Comments: none ]

Derek Hough has six Dancing with the Stars mirror ball trophies in his collection, and soon he is going to add more bling to it. That is because he proposed to his girlfriend, Hayley Erbert, and she said yes.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the couple who has been together for six years say yes to someone televising their nuptials. You know, since the dancer can never say no to a television gig.
