So today, I was scrolling through my For You page on TikTok, and Aqua popped up. At that point, I knew my day was made! Who didn’t love their song Barbie Girl? Actually, the whole album, Aquarium, is like totally awesome. It is one of my all-time favs.
Anyways, after I watched the first video, I had to watch them all. Here is Lene Nystrøm, René Dif, and Søren Rasted performing an acoustic version of their hit single. It is a lot different than the Pop version, but it still brings a smile to my face.
Seriously, if you need a pick me up today, then listen to their music. It is so hard not to get up and dance to their tunes. We all need a reason to dance these days, and their songs do just that! Stop being wrapped in plastic and be the Happy Boys and Girls they sing about.
Last week, Britney Spears and her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, took part in the Toxic challenge. Basically, all you do is rub your face against your glass shower door and make that screeching sound you hear in her song Toxic.
This week, Miley Cyrus did it too to support the singer. In her TikTok video, she writes “#FreeBritney.” If it wasn’t for Britney, who knows if we would have Miley. Actually, we would have. It is just the question of to what degree.
Cyrus had another message with this video. “If you’re TOXIC but not a Britney song I don’t f*ck with you. 🧪☠️💚👸🏼” she wrote. Words to live by.
