Wouldn’t Billy Idol and Joan Jett be the coolest grandparents?
February 9th, 2021 under Billy Idol, Joan Jett. [ Comments: none ]

Billy Idol/Instagram

On Sunday, Billy Idol and Joan Jett performed at the Super Bowl Tailgate Party with Miley Cyrus. At some point, the two rockers got together and took this photo.

As soon as I saw it, I thought they look more like Miley’s parents than Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus do. Then I thought, wouldn’t they be the bitchingest grandparents ever. Look at the 65-year-old Rebel yeller and the 62-year-old woman who doesn’t give a damn about her bad reputation still wearing leather. Whose grandparents still do that and also look so sexy that I want to f*ck them both? Let me be in their cradle of love. I can’t think of any other sexagenarians who do that. Can you?

I know, I need to stop putting dimes in the jukebox and using their song titles in this post.

On a jukebox note. Have you ever played the game of adding “underneath the sheets” after each song title listed? My dad taught me that game, and it is a huge blast. I guess in 2021; you have to play it with a Karaoke book because no one has jukeboxes anymore.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist takes on race issues tonight
February 9th, 2021 under Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wn9642QU9Y
Last week when Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist ended, Simon (John Clarence Stewart) revealed that his employer, SPRQ Point, has a problem dealing with its minority workers during a press conference. Tonight at 8p on NBC, they deal with the fallout from his words.

Simon is prepared to be fired, but they have not made a decision on his future employment. Zoey (Jane Levy) feels bad that she did not know that this was going on, so she decides to hold a town hall with her programmers. It goes really badly. Even the employees are clueless.

The one group of people that know what they want to be done is the Board of Directors. They tell Danny (Noah Weisberg) that Simon has to retract what he said. Even though Danny is the big boss, he tells Zoey to tell Simon to do it.

She goes to Mo (Alex Newell) for help, and Mo has a surprising response to her friend. Mo knows what Simon is going through because Mo is also African-American.

When Zoey gets back to the office, she has to confront Simon. How will he handle what she asks him to do?

Zoey is at a loss; she doesn’t know what to do. Simon has made his decision, what is he going to do?

Can anything be done to change racial inequality at work? Lessons will be learned, but will they be too late.

Zoey’s did an intriguing take on this topic. It is not easy to tackle this issue in an hour, but they handled it brilliantly.

Not only did the show do a great job, so did Stewart, who gave his best performance to date. Be prepared to be blown away by his heartfelt performance tonight.

J-Lo tries a pixie cut
February 9th, 2021 under J-Lo. [ Comments: none ]

Allure

Jennifer Lopez has had the same hairstyle since we got to know her. The only thing that has changed is the color and the length.

However, she tried something drastic for Allure. She put on a pixie cut wig. Do you know what? I say she needs to grab the scissors and do it for real. What do you think?

Bob Hearts Abishola finds its funk
February 9th, 2021 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzqMZ7cpcVQ
Last night, Bob Hearts Abishola delivered its best episode to date. It started and ended with a song and dance number.

While I could not find the first one online, it is OK, because the closing one was even better. They ended the CBS sitcom with Bob dancing to Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk with his co-workers. Who knew Billy Gardell could move like that?

I enjoyed these numbers so much, I hope they could be part of every episode from now on. Why not? Other shows do it!

This is not the first time Chuck Lorre has done this on one of his shows. He did an epic one with his Netflix pot comedy Disjointed. He is so good at it; I think the former musician should do a musical show. Can someone tell him I said to do that?
