Jane Levy has a breakthrough case of COVID-19, regrets not getting the booster
December 20th, 2021 under Coronavirus, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. [ Comments: none ]

It might be the most wonderful time of the year for Zoey, but it is not this year for the actress who plays her. That is because Jane Levy revealed she has COVID-19.

“I have it and I have to miss xmas,” she wrote. “Sucks for me but doesn’t have to suck for you if you get boosted (i wasn’t) and are cautious xoxoxoxoxo”

I hope she gets better soon. And if you haven’t gotten the booster shot, get it now. It’s not too late. It is no big deal. If you haven’t been vaccinated at all, then stop being a COVIDiot and putting others at risk and get the shot. You are the modern-day version of the Grinch and ruining Christmas.

Oh, and if you are looking for something to do, then watch Zoey’s Extraordinary Chrismas on Roku Channel for free. Do you know what else is free? THE COVID-19 VACCINE!

Zoey is going to have an Extraordinary Christmas and so will we
November 18th, 2021 under Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. [ Comments: none ]

For some reason, NBC decided to cancel Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. And just like a Christmas miracle, The Roku Channel decided to give the musical dramedy its own holiday movie. So come coming on December 1st, we are getting Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas.

Today, Thanksgiving came early because we got the trailer for the special today. I can’t wait for them to sing us Christmas Carols in their special way.

Thanks to Roku, I have something to be thankful for this season. So, thank you for giving me the Zoey’s episode I didn’t know I needed, but I love getting. I can’t wait to unwrap it!

If you haven’t seen the show, then you can watch all of the episodes on The Roku Channel now. Since there is nothing on television for the next few weeks, you might as well enjoy this darling show.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is getting a Christmas special episode on December 1st. Since today, as Mariah Carey declared, is the first day of the holiday season, Roku released the first song from the movie. And now I am in the holiday spirit.

Gone is the pumpkin spice, and hello is peppermint everything. Because this is the most wonderful time of the year, full of McRib’s, leftover Halloween candy, and Christmas music from Zoey and her friends and family.

Not only that, we can now watch every episode of the series for free on Roku! What more do we need?

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist gets a Christmas movie on Roku Channel
September 8th, 2021 under Roku, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. [ Comments: none ]

This holiday Roku Channel is giving us something to sing about and sing=along with. That is because they announced today that they are giving Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, the cancelled (way too soon) series, a Christmas movie with all of the original cast.

Creator Austin Winsberg said, “I am so extremely grateful to The Roku Channel for helping us get Zoey to sing again. I can’t think of a more appropriate time to hear someone’s heart song than the holidays. And Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas will be an opportunity to provide the fans and new viewers alike a chance to all tap their toes and get in the holiday mood. This show has always been about empathy, compassion and the triumph of the human spirit. The Roku Channel has sure lifted mine and I hope that our film can have the same effect on viewers everywhere…”

The holiday film will pick up where season two left off. It will be interesting to find out if Max (Skylar Astin) can still hear Zoey’s (Jane Levy) heart songs just like she has been hearing his and everyone else’s.

Along with the movie, all 25 episodes are coming to the Roku Channel this Fall. You don’t have to have a Roku to get the streaming service. Their app is available on Android, Apple, Firestick, and via their website.

Bye, Bye, Miss Zoey’s Playlist
June 9th, 2021 under Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. [ Comments: none ]

The fat lady has sung because NBC cancelled Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist after 2 seasons.

The news is not a surprise because it was never a ratings hit. However, it still hurts. It was the best show on NBC. But then again, I loved that it was a musical series.

Not only did they pick good songs, but the actors also did a great job singing them.

Plus, the storylines were enjoyable, powerful, and fun to watch.

I guess because it wasn’t a procedural, it never had a chance. Thank you to Austin Winsberg, the cast, and the crew for giving us a show that was unlike anything else on television.
