A-Rod and J-Lo give up their bid to own the NY Mets!
August 29th, 2020 under Alex Rodriguez, J-Lo. [ Comments: 1 ]

A-Rod/Instagram

There have been rumors for months that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez want to buy the NY Mets. However, the betrothed couple never confirmed it. That is until now.

They revealed that their plans fell through. “Alex and I are so disappointed!! We worked so hard the past 6 months with the dream of becoming the first minority couple and the first woman owner to buy her father’s favorite Major League Baseball team with her own hard earned money. We still haven’t given up!! #NY4ever”

As someone from the Bronx, like they are, and a Mets fan; this news makes me so happy. I think they would be the wrong people to own the baseball team. I just can’t forget that he was suspended from the game he loves so much for steroid use.

Maybe now that they have all of this extra “hard earned money”, they will donate it to people who need it. When was the last time we heard them every donate any of their money to a good cause. I could be wrong, but I don’t ever remembering hearing them donating to anything.

Chadwick Boseman passed away today at the age of 43 from a four-year battle with colon cancer. The statement reads, “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.⁣

“Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. ⁣

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. ⁣

“It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. ⁣

“He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. ⁣

“The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”⁣

Boseman might have only been 43, but what an acting career he had in just 17 years. He played Jackie Robinson in 42, James Brown in Get On Up, Thurgood Marshall in Marshall, and of course Black Panter.

Let’s make it Wakanda Forever, and watch one of his many iconic roles to honor him.

Netflix brings back the teenage horror movie with The Babysitter, Killer Queen
August 28th, 2020 under Bella Thorne, Italia Ricci and Robbie Amell, Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’80s, we had nightmares on Elm Street during Halloween, April Fool’s Day, and Friday the 13th. Then in the ’90s, we would Scream because we knew what people did last summer. When we welcomed the new millennia, it seems that we reached a Final Destination.

What that means, is that we have not had a good teenage Horror movie in a really long time. Netflix is bringing back the genre with McG’s The Babysitter, Killer Queen. The flick that stars Bella Thorne, Jenna Ortega, and Robbie Amell is described as, “Two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole’s trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.”

While we might not be getting Halloween this year, at least we have this Horredy on September 10th. It better be a treat and not a trick.

In honor of 8/28, Manifest’s showrunner reveals show secrets
August 28th, 2020 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Today is August 28th or 8/28. 8-2-8 is the same number of the flight that the characters took on Manifest. Since it is the Sci-Fi drama’s holiday, NBC is celebrating by letting Executive Producer Jeff Rake reveals spoilers about season three and more Easter eggs.

What can we expect in 2021? We will see a long lost character return. Who do you think it is? A new passenger will make their debut in the season premiere. That episode takes place three months after the shocking season finale. What happens if someone uses the callings for bad and not good?

Rake also tells us if the Major is Michaela from the future. The EP also talks about the past. As in, he tells us things we might have missed during season two. I know I missed a few of his reveals. Did you catch them all?

There is so much information that video for fans of the series, I can’t believe it was less than three minutes. My mind exploded like the plane at the end of the pilot episode. Boom!

Is Post Malone’s song Better Now because it got RickRolled?
August 28th, 2020 under Rick Astley. [ Comments: none ]

Rick Astley decided to cover Post Malone’s Better Now, and the Never Going to Give You Up singer gave it his own flare. The song no longer sounds like something Drake recorded. Now, it sounds like something you would hear at an outdoor show, mid-concert with the stars above you and the breeze cooling you off.

Do you think it sounds better now, better now?
