RIP Kenny Rogers
March 21st, 2020 under Kenny Rogers, Obits. [ Comments: none ]

Kenny Rogers passed away yesterday at the age of 81 from natural causes in home hospice.

The singer got his big break in 1966 with the folk group New Christy Minstrels. When they broke up in 1974, he went solo and had a huge career as a Country star.

He had 24 #1 hits including Lady, Lucille, She Believes In Me, and Through the Years. One of his biggest hits was Islands in the Stream with Dolly Parton. The two recorded several duets together.

His biggest song is The Gambler and it spawned five telemovies. It was just one of the few movies he starred in throughout his career.

It wasn’t all entertainment for him, in 1991 he opened Kenny Rogers Roasters, a fast food chicken joint that was actually quite yummy.

He was the first Country artist I ever listened to, and I will remember his music with a smile. Today, let’s remember The Gambler by listening to his many great tunes with a big old smile on his face.

Hours after Andy Cohen annoucned that he would be doing Watch What Happens Live from his apartment starting on Sunday, he posted on socal media it will not be happening.

After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus. As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better. I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.

I hope that all the housewives are sending him chicken soup and taking care of him. After all, he has been taking care of them for all of these years.

Seth Meyers’ lobby baby is sad

Seth Meyers decided to take his sons, Ashe, 4, and Axel, almost 2, for a walk on a rainy day. For some reason the lobby baby, fell to his knees and cried puddles of tears in a puddle. Actually, the Late Night host gave an explanation.

This is terrifying —- With professional sport leagues canceled local gamblers have been organizing “puddle runs” where bets are placed on young children who are forced to race each other in rain suits. As this photo shows THE KIDS ARE NOT INTO IT!!! If you come across one of these horrific undertakings fight the urge to take photos and report it to authorities immediately!!!

It sounds like Meyers is enjoying some quality time with his sons. Not sure they feel the same way!

Seriously, didn’t Axel’s face make you smile even though he was not?

Sarah Haines is home with her three children Alex, 4, Sandra, 2, and Caleb, 9 months, and she needs way to keep them busy. Today, she had a little parade in her apartment, they got dressed up in costumes and marched adorably to the Villiage People’s YMCA. How did it go? It ended with her getting a big sweet kiss from her daughther.

Today, she is listening to Disco with them. In a few weeks, she will be listening to Quiet Riot’s Mental Health (Bang Your Head). Towards the end of this quarantine, it will be her crying and singing Eric Carmen’s All By Myself in the shower.

Tom Brady is no longer a Patriot

Three days after Tom Brady announced that he was leaving the New England Patriots after 20 year, we now know where he will be playing football whenever the football season starts up.

Excited, humble and hungry …if there is one thing I have learned about football, it’s that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that…you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day. I’m starting a new football journey and thankful for the @buccaneers for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me…I have always believed that well done is better than well said, so I’m not gonna say much more – I’m just gonna get to work! #Year1 p.s. Jack Brady with the photocred 😀

I hope the Buccaneers get their money’s worth. He is on the older side, and he did not bring home the trophy last year, so who knows how good he still is.
