Jerry O’Connell began his three-week test run today as a daytime talk show and he already earned an A+. Although, he had some issues before he went out onto the stage to greet his first audience. Should he go as Ellen DeGeneres, Steve Harvey or Judge Judy? Eventually, he went as himself to greet Wendy Williams, talk about the end of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ marriage and interview his good friend Kelly Ripa. The two of them talked about parenting their children. Those kids are with their partners and not each other. Just in case there was any confusion.
Jerry O airs on the Fox O&O’s throughout the US in the late morning and he has a great lineup for his first week. Which I hope this will be one of his many many weeks chatting it up in the daytime. He was born to be a talk show host. I am enjoying watching him live out this role as much as his other roles. Plus, if he gets renewed, he said he would buy everyone siders. Or maybe I am just thinking about his old show Sliders.
Anyways back to his upcoming guests, tomorrow he has on the Real Housewives of Orange County, followed by Retta and finally the woman he is married to Rebecca Romijn. Wonder what he and his wife will talk about for an hour? Hopefully, sex because sex sells. Next week, he sits down with Vivica A. Fox and Jim Gaffigan.
Check him out daily for the next three weeks, so that we can continue seeing him daily. Especially since he got some work done to look his best for his try out. Want to see what he got done, then click here!
The second season of Netflix’s After Life is going to begin filming in four weeks and Ricky Gervais is already casting key roles.
Those who are trying out do not know have to know their lines for the audition, but they better know how to sit, stay and lie down. If they cannot do that, then off the kennel they will go. It is also imperative that they don’t put the casting agent to sleep or they might, well, you know where I am going with that thought. If they really want the job, then they should hump Gervais’ leg. Are dogs included in the #MeToo movement? The most important thing to do to get the job of a lifetime is to kiss up to Gervais’ cat Ollie. Get her on your side, and you are a shoo-in. On that note, don’t destroy his shoes. You might be able to walk barefoot, but he is not. Oh and don’t smell his butt. Wait, is he into that sort of thing? Scratch that last point, I can see him liking that.
Talking about liking things. If have not seen After Life, then you should watch it now. It is a darling binge that will leave you with a smile on your face. You will be as happy as a dog who gets a pig’s ear as a treat when you are done watching it. Unleash yourself from whatever you are doing and watch the first season now.
Last month,Lifetime announced that they are doing a telemovie on the college admissions scandal and today they announced who will be playing the lead roles. Penelope Ann Miller and Mia Kirshner are starring as two moms who will do anything to get their children into college. However, they are not playing the two actresses who are front and center of the scandal.
Instead, Lifetime describes it as, “The College Admissions Scandal follows two wealthy mothers, Caroline (Miller), a sought after interior designer and Bethany (Kirshner), an owner of a successful financial services firm, who share an obsession with getting their teenagers into the best possible college. When charismatic college admissions consultant Rick Singer (Michael Shanks, Stargate: Atlantis, Saving Hope) offers a side door into the prestigious institutions of their dreams, Caroline and Bethany willingly partake with visions of coveted acceptance letters in their heads. But when Singer cooperates with the FBI and pleads guilty, the mothers who risked everything for their kids, must face the consequences of their crimes and the loss of trust and respect from their families.”
I kind of wish they would have waited until the case was settled so that we could get to see their take on what Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin reportedly did. I guess we will have to leave that for Court TV and Netflix to do with their eventual movies.

Preteens Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon and Keith L. Williams are starring in Seth Rogen’s movie Good Boys. Since it is a Rogen film, it is not at all family-friendly. Yet, the child actors are sweet and innocent. At least they used to be.
For the movie, they had to learn a lot of things that are much more mature than they are and a bunch of new words. In fact, on the ride home, their moms would have to explain things to them. Noon went from not being able to say “c-r-a-p” at home to using much crappier words when he was at work. They got so familiar with the language, they were using it on set when they were not filming. That is when Tremblay’s dad stepped in and would not allow them to use it after the director yelled cut.
However, I bet you when the three boys were hanging with their friends, they taught them all the things they learned at the job. Who needs an education when you are getting that as an education. Actually, all kids need to stay in school. If not, you can grow up to be like me.
One of the good things about being 18, is that I can go see this movie on my own this Friday. I feel bad for all of the actors’ friends who will not be allowed to see it. That is unless they tell the ticket taker they are going to see The Lion King (Rogen’s other movie) and then sneak into this feature. Who else besides me used to do that all the time?
Back in the ’90s, we got to know Parker Lewis. It was a TV show where he and his friend could not lose. Think Ferris Bueller but even cooler. Therefore, it would make sense in the age of revivals from the era that they would try to bring back Parker Lewis Can’t Lose.
Turns out that creator Clyde Phillips and writer Lon Diamond recently pitched the idea to Sony. Corin Nemec, who played Parker Lewis, gave an update on their pitch meeting. He wrote, “…they turned it down. Very sad turn of events.
“Was hoping to announce the great news that #PLCL was coming back to @FOXTV 😞”
Not coolness Sony. Us fans want to see what type of trouble Parker Lewis and his friends are getting into now that they are adults. That and I want to see how they will make Frank Lemmer (Taj Johnson) look just like he did from 1990-1993. Don’t get that reference, then watch the show on Crackle for free. Maybe if enough people find the show or rewatch it, then we can get all-new episodes. That would be total coolness!
