Tonight at 9p, Suits begins its final season on USA Network. The season premiere starts off a few hours after it left off.
Harvey (Gabrielle Macht) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) wake up together the morning after they finally admitted they have feelings for each other. While they ended their night with a bang, their morning will start off with a different type of bang.
The firm is in trouble because clients are leaving them due to Robert Zane’s disbarment. Several of them are saying drop his name or they will drop them.
Which partners are OK with removing his name as a named partner? Is it Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), Donna, Harvey, Samantha (Katherine Heigl) and Alex (Dulé Hill)? Which one of them says that they will leave if they take his name off the door?
Then the episode ends with something that sets up the final season. What it is? I ain’t going to tell you. You will just have to tune in to see it.
Then next week, you will see Louis Litt like you have never seen him. And you can never unsee it.

Then at 10p, it is time for the Suits spinoff Pearson, based on Gina Torres’ character Jessica Pearson. This show is not like the show it spun off of, so don’t expect a Suits carbon copy.
Jessica has moved to Chicago to be with her boyfriend Jeff (D.B. Woodside). Now that she cannot practice law anymore, she takes a job as Mayor Bobby Novak’s (Morgan Spector) fixer. She has her work cut out for her because he needs a lot of fixing.
Keri Allen (Bethany Joy Lenz), the city’s attorney, does not want to work with her, but the mayor tells her she has too. Did I tell you, she is having an affair with Bobby? His wife has a medical condition and has not been there for Bobby like Keri has been.
Someone who has been there Bobby is his brother Nick D’Amato (Simon Kassianides). Nick is also his brother’s driver and protector. That means the ex-cop (for a reason) is keeping a damaging secret hidden for everyone. After he drives Jessica around for a day, he winds becoming her man. He knows the city and she does not.
Not only does she not know the city, but she also does not know politics is run in that city or in general. She keeps stepping on toes and that is pissing everyone off. Especially the people she should not be upsetting and her family whose house she did not save. No matter who tells her to drop things. she does not listen to them. So much so that no one likes her.
One of those people is Alderman Yoli Castillo (Isabel Arraiza). Jessica forces her to lose her job but then hires her as an assistant. Jessica is so mean to her. However, when Yoli really needs her, she is there for her. Maybe she is not as bad as everyone is making her out to be.
Even though Jessica is pushing everyone’s buttons, she is making a difference. Will it be enough to get people to be on her side, or will she be standing all alone? Will she be making things better or worse for the mayor who really needs her to fix his situations?
Find out on a show that shows us how politics is run and it is not always on the up and up. However, this show is.
