It has been 28 years since the kids from Degrassi High graduated. Over the weekend, several members of the class of ’91 got together for a reunion at Joey Jeremiah’s house. Even though they are 2 years away from their 30th (which means Spike’s daughter Emma is in her 30’s), they still look as close as did when they walked the halls together. Not only that, they look just as good if not even better now than back then.
What was the special reason why Pat Mastroianni invited his classmates to his home for a BBQ now? It was for a very good reason. On June 14th through the 16th, most of them will get together for the first Degrassi convention in Toronto. Instead of that being the first time they all see each since before the turn of the century, they met up yesterday to catch up before the big event. Oh to be a fly on the potato salad.
If you want to spend the weekend with them at DegrassiPalooza, tickets are still available. If someone wants to buy my airfare and put me up, I will join you there. It is a must for fans of the teenage soap opera that tackled so many important issues.
I hope all the Canadian stations cover the event because maybe then they will finally bring the show back for more episodes. They went through so much in high school, let’s see what they are up to now. We only got a very small glimpse of their post-high school lives on Degrassi: The Next Generation. We need more.

Vanity Fair asked Kevin Hart to take a lie detector test and he might have regretted saying yes.
We all know that he is not the tallest actor in Hollywood, but how tall is he? They asked him if it is true that he is 5’2″ and he said, “Absolutely not.” He stood tall with his next answer and said that he is 5’4″. When he was caught in a lie, he then went down an inch. He tried again and went down another half inch this time. Eventually, he settled with 5’2″, which was the height they originally asked him about.
While some people lie about their age or weight, he lies about his height. As he admitted, it is something he is self-conscience about.
In his defense, he might be closer to 5’4″ because his mouth is so big that it has to add at least two inches to him. Thus, we should give it to him.
Ever since USA announced that Suits will be ending this upcoming season, fans of the show have wondered whether or not Patrick J Adams and Meghan Markle will return to say goodbye. Today, we found out the answer.
Well, at least one of them will be back for one more episode, so far. Adams will reprise his role in the fifth episode and this time, instead of working with his mentor Harvey Spector, he will be working against him. Adams told Deadline, “I couldn’t be happier to be part of the final chapter of Suits. I’ve missed my TV family, and am looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble Mike Ross can stir up at the firm one last time.”
As I said, he will appear halfway through the final season, but will he back for the show’s final episode? The show’s creator, Aaron Korsh, said, “He may or may not be back again. If you know the history of my answers to that question, I’m leading you down a certain answer.”
The actor will be busy filming Nat Geo’s The Right Stuff around the same time the show is taping its final episode. While he is busy playing Scott Glenn, his TV wife is busy being a real wife to a Prince. In case you have not heard she is married to Prince Harry. Is she too busy being a mom and the Duchess of Sussex to be Rachel Zane one last time? Korsch said it is up to her call him if she wants to say goodbye to the show with us. If she calls, then he will write something for her.
Personally, I am OK if she doesn’t dial his number because the legal drama was always about Mike and Harvey, Rachel was just a third wheel to their bromance.

Whether you watch Jeopardy or not, you have heard about James Holzhauer’s incredible winning streak on the game show. He has won 32 games and $2,462,216 so far. Tonight is his 33rd appearance and it looks like it will be his last.
Somehow Goliath got his hands on tonight’s episode and it shows the champion finally losing during Final Jeopardy. Is it real? We will find out.
If he really does lose, then that means he did not beat Ken Jennings’ grand total of $2,520,700. A record amount he has been held since 2004.
Ironically enough, according to RetroNewsNow, Jennings started his unbeatable winning streak 15 years ago yesterday. When something begins something else must ends. Someone somewhere said that.
Katrina and the Waves’ Walking on Sunshine is one of the happiest songs ever recorded, but what if it wasn’t? DJ Cummerbund mixed the 1985 tune with Alice In Chains’ Would and now all I want to do is cry. Not because he destroyed the song (quite the opposite), but he made the single very depressing. I feel like I am walking a tightrope and nothing but doom and gloom is below me. Who knew such darkness could come from such light, but if you change up the melody that is exactly what happened.
DJ Cummerbund has done a lot of great mashups like Pearl Jam’s Jeremy with Kenny Loggins’ Footloose, and I think this one is his best. Even if I just went through a box of tissues.
