https://youtu.be/a_uYCJLwrnw MasterChef is back tonight at 8p on Fox and they are changing things up for the audition process.
They still have to cook their signature dishes for Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez and Joe Bastianich, but this time they have their families by their side to root them on. Is that an advantage or a disadvantage for them? If that is not enough pressure for them, they also have three past contestants checking up on them.
Tonight and next week, the large crowd will dwindle down to 19. They will serve food from all over the world. Some will win the bellies of the three judges, others will not. While three will be given a second chance to fill that 20th slot.
Not only are they cooking up delicious meals, but they are also winning our hearts with their backstories. Because those are just as important. One of my favorites is the first to go through.
While it is hard to tell how the season will go by the auditions, but you know it will be just as good as the last nine seasons. Even though it is a competition show, they are not as mean spirited as the shows. That is why I continue to tune in season after season.
Ever since Nickelodeon announced that they are working on a reboot for All That, we have wanted to know who is going to fill those big shows that were worn by the original seven.
Today, we got our answer and they remind me of the OGs. Lex Lumpkin reminds me of Kel Mitchell, Gabrielle Green is a mini-Alisa Reyes, Chinguun Sergelen has Kenan Thompson’s personality, Reece Caddell is vivacious like Lori Beth Denberg, Ryan Alessi is goofy like Josh Server and finally Kate Godfrey is so like Katrina Johnson.
Now that we know that they did a great job on the casting, it makes me more excited for its return on June 15th at 8:30p. What about you?
While it is nice to see Mitchell, Denberg and Server together again, what about Alisa Reyes too? She was my favorite of the lucky 7! Her and Kenan Thompson should do an episode together with the new kids on the block.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDPdRYF7hTQ America’s Got Talent is back on NBC and I was not sure how the new judges, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough, would do. Well, Union is proving to be the heart of the show.
Kodi Lee, a 22-year-old man who is blind and autistic, came out with his amazing mom Tina. The judges asked him some questions and he told them that he is going to sing for them. He sat down at the piano and started to play Donny Hathaway’s A Song For You. Once he sang his first note and you heard his soulful voice, the tears began to stream down our faces. When he was done, the judges and the audience rightfully gave him a long standing ovation. Making a special moment even more special.
However, it did not stop there. All four judges, including Simon Cowell, praised him, and Union took it one step further. She hit the Golden Buzzer sending him directly to the live shows.
Lee said he will never forget that moment and neither will we. This is what talent competitions are all about. Finding extraordinary people with amazing talents. It is about giving people a shot that would normally not get one. I hope he goes all the way!
However, who knows who else we will find out about this season because yesterday was only night one.

Ever since I saw that impromptu sing-a-long in My Best Friend’s Wedding, I have always wanted to be part of one. It still has not happened for me, but it did happen for Mariah Carey and some of her friends.
Last night, while she was out having dinner, her song Fly Like a Bird came on. What did they do? They all sang along with the songstress. Of course, when it came time for her to hit that high note, they let her have it all to herself. Because no one’s voice can fly like a bird like hers.
Deputy Staley, from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, was near the Tahoe City Shell Station and noticed some sort of disturbance. As he walked towards the knocked over trash cans, he saw a head pop up from behind them. When he asked the bear what he was doing, the cub hid under the garbage again. Playing a cute game of peek-a-boo with the police officer! Which is a lot cuter when you are a safe distance away from it.
In fact, the Sherrif’s Office wanted to warn their residents, “This is prime time for bears to come out of hibernation in search of food, and they’re not shy about getting into your homes, cars, garbage cans, you name it!”
“Friendly tip: please don’t engage the bears — they may look cute and fluffy, but they have real instincts!”
As someone, who has seen more than her share of horror movies with bears, I know exactly what he means. They are not all sweet and lovable like Winnie the Poo or Yogi Bear. They like to shred up teenage campers having sex!
