On August 8th, Tonks was born in the Denver Zoo. She is one of only 24 Aye-Ayes in 7 American zoos. The nocturnal lemurs are some of the rarest and hardest to see animals in the world. Those who see them, say that they are ugly. Not me, I think she is beautiful.
What makes her and her relatives so distinctive? The zoo says the Aye-Ayes have coarse dark hair, long bushy tails, rodent-like teeth, piercing eyes and skeletal hands that feature extra-long middle fingers with hooked claws and native to remote areas of Madagascar.
When it comes to when people will be able to see Tonks at the zoo, visitors will have to wait a few months. She will remain in her nest box until she is mature enough to be let out.
BTW am I the only one who wants to see an Aye-Aye in a Disney movie?
There are many memorable moments from Sixteen Candles. There is the underwear scene, the hair trapped in the door one, the Long Duck Dong sharing an exercise bike moment, but the most iconic one comes at the very end of the movie. That is when Sam and Jake share a birthday cake on a table.
I never thought anyone could ever ruin my teenage fantasy of being on that table with Michael Schoeffling, but looks The Goldbergs is going to do it on the season premiere that pays homage to the cult favorite on September 26th. You know what, I am OK with it. That is because I know Adam F. Goldberg will make just as satisfying. Well, not satisfying in that way because no parent should be the Jake Ryan. And as we know, Beverly Goldberg is not your average mom. That is why we love her and the sitcom that is based in 1980something.
UPDATE: The Goldbergs recreates a Farmer Ted moment with Dave Kim. To see which one, then click here!
Jimmy Fallon did a full episode of The Tonight Show in Central Park and Justin Bieber was one of his guests. But he did not do a sit-down interview. Instead, the two men had ants in their pants and couldn’t stop dancing in the heart of Manhattan.
Since it is NYC, no one cared. But then again it could be because they were in some of the worst disguises. But really, it is the Big Apple and we have seen it all in that park.
One time my friends and I were offered acid via a little sticker of an album cover in Strawberry Fields. Another time, one of the John’s from They Might Be Giants called me weird. And that is why we everyone loves Central Park!
Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of the most renowned scientists on earth and also in outer space (minus Pluto of course), so does he think that we faked the moon landing like so many people claim? Yesterday, he shot a PSA for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and he does not.
Why? Well he is smarter than conspiracy theorists. That and we went to the moon 9 times. How many times can you fake it? Fake going to the moon that is. The special effects were not that advanced in 1969.
