The first trailer is out for Solo: A Star Wars Story and the Han Solo feature is not for me. Had the film still been directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, I would have been a more excited for it. Since it was directed by Ron Howard, I will be skipping it on May 25th. No offense to Howard, I like him as an actor but not as a director.
CBS announced today that Mom will be back for a sixth season in the fall. It will be joining Chuck Lorre’s other 2 comedies The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, along with dramas SEAL Team and SWAT. The only Thursday night show awaiting its fate on the network is Life in Pieces.
The Emmy nominated sitcom starring Anna Faris and Oscar winner Allison Janney is a critical darling.
Tiffany Haddish was in an elevator with Brad Pitt, Elizabeth Perkins and her husband Julio Macat at a pre-Oscar party. She noticed how lovingly Macat looked at his wife and he told them how she wishes she could find a man like that. That is when Pitt told her, if we are both single a year from now, let’s see what happens. She thought he was joking, but if he isn’t she has no interest. Why? Seriously, why? Because he has a “gang of kids”, and she wants to be baby mama #1. Smart girl because they get the most money!!!
That is not the only juicy thing that Jimmy Fallon got out of her at on The Tonight Show yesterday. The NBC host asked her point blank, “Who bit Beyonce?” After some convincing, she finally admitted it was Jimmy Fallon. Mystery solved and we did not need the Scooby gang to do it.
Marley came home with a big smile on her face because she took out the same book as Blake Shelton at her school, but her mom was not happy. Why? Shelly Bryan Parker explained, “Marley is EXCITED that her ‘new’ reader belonged to Blake Shelton, but I am EMBARRASSED!!!! I’m 40 and these people are my age!!! Thank you to every teacher/parent/support staffer/etc. for fighting for my kids education!!! Don’t give up until education is FULLY FUNDED!!!! #fundOKED #Okwalk4kids #westillloveblake.”
If you think about it, Shelton took out this book 35 years ago. That means that book is probably older than some of the teachers at that school. Why aren’t our tax dollars going to update our children’s school books? No wonder the teachers walked out.
The President wants to spend money on arming teachers with guns, but I want to spend the money on arming teachers with books and school supplies. They need that more than guns. The students need that more than guns. The federal government needs to work on smarter gun laws and the teachers need to focus on making the future generation smart.
When it comes to the book, I hope Marley gets to keep it and her school gets new books.
We are months away from the revival of Murphy Brown returning to our airwaves, but that is not stopping the cast and the creator from getting together now. Yesterday, Nik Dodani, Candice Bergen, Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto, Grant Shaud and Diane English got together to talk about their show and all we got was this photo. Granted, it is a pretty awesome photo, that makes me more excited for the comedy to return to CBS in the fall. I just wish we did not have to wait that long.
When it comes to the original cast members, they have not aged a day in the 20 years since their sitcom ended the first time. Seriously, don’t they look fantastic?
