Tonight at 9p, Jane the Virgin is a must watch on The CW. It is the perfect amount of laugh and tears, and not for the reasons you think.
Last week, when the show left off, a doctor told Xo (Andrea Navedo) that they found a lump in her breast. This week, she and her family wait for the results of the biopsy. Each of them deal with it in their own way. Xo remains as strong as she can, but she is also very nervous. At one point, her thoughts gets the worst of her and she calls her mom (Ivonne Coll) to come over. This is a normal reaction, and the shows handles it very well.
Her husband, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) tells their daughter, Jane (Gina Rodriquez), he is scared. But he does not show Xo how he feels. Good thing he is busy trying to get River Fields (Brooke Shields) to do his show. She will keep him very busy, especially when he finds another way to disfigure her. Wait until you see how.
Jane is really worried about her mom and starts taking her fear out as anger on other people. Especially when Petra’s (Yael Grobglas) daughters tell Mateo that the Tooth Fairy is not real. Jane loses it with Petra and she does not know why. Is there any way Petra can make it up to Jane and Mateo?
Petra has her own problems, she still does not know is framing her for her sister’s murder. JR’s (Rosario Dawson) mom gives them a clue, but is it one that will finally solve this mystery? And talking about mysteries, what is going on with Petra and JR’s relationship after last week’s more than a kiss?
And then there is Rafael (Justin Baldoni) who is having his own family problems. He needs to find his sister, so that he can find his mom. Only problem is Luisa (Yara Martinez) does not want to be found. Will he be able to find her? Tonight, we learn what was happening to Luisa when she accidentally inseminated Jane with Rafael’s baby. Taking it back to season 1.
And talking about finding things out, by the end of the episode we will find out if Xo has cancer or not.
It is amazing that they fit all of that into an hour, but they did. They gave us an award winning episode that shows us what family members go through when one of them is waiting to find out if they have cancer. It is an important episode just for that, but there are also some bonus moments that will make you laugh and cry and laugh some more.
CBS announced today who will play Murphy Brown’s son Avery and he is a show killer. Jake McDorman, who starred in Manhattan Love Story and Limitless, got the role. But he is as forgettable as his beard is not visible. Translation very forgettable.
I know that is a stupid reason not to like an actor, but that is why I cannot watch Jake’s shows. When I do watch his shows, I spend all my time trying to figure out if he has a beard or not. It is frustrating to me. Therefore, if CBS wants the show to succeed, they need to make him clean shaven.
What will his character be doing on the show? CBS says, “Murphy’s millennial journalist son who is following in his mother’s footsteps, perhaps too closely, and has his mother’s competitive spirit and quick wit.” I think it would be better if he was the opposite of his mom. What do you think of it all?
Now that Bryan Cranston is an international movie star, he has to travel the world. That means, he needs travel size items and as we know most are the same size. Add in, after a long day of traveling, all he wants to do is brush his teeth and call it a night. He grabs the toothbrush and the toothpaste, and brushes his teeth. But it is the worst tasting toothpaste he has ever had. Why? Because it is athlete foot cream. Now, we all know, thanks to him, we need to check +the labels on the travel size items before we make the same mistake he does. Because that is not what Breaking Bad should mean!
On a positive note, at least it was not hemorrhoid cream. That would have been really bad it would have temporarily shrunk his mouth like it does your butt.
Burt Reynolds continued his media tour for The Last Movie Star on Watch What Happens Live yesterday and he continued to shock us all. For the after show, someone asked him what was the weirdest piece of fan mail he got after he did a naked centerfold for Cosmo.
He revealed, “I was sent pubic hair…and it was very nice.” What did he do with his present that came wrapped in wax paper? He says, “I have it on my wall.” That has to be a conversation piece.
And talking about conversation pieces, Andy Cohen asked him about several of the roles he turned down throughout his career. The first role they talked about was Michael Corleone in The Godfather. Marlon Brando threatened to quit if he got the part that went to Al Pacino. Next up, he turned down James Bond because he did not think an American should play the spy. He regrets that stance. Did you know he was offered Richard Gere’s part in Pretty Woman? How does he feel about turning that one down? He simply said, “I am an idiot.”
The next role he was willing to kill for, but he could not out drink it or out smoke Jack Nicholson. Therefore, Jack remained the star of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Jack also got another Oscar for a role that Burt does not remember turning down and that was Terms of Endearment.
It gets worse, imagine him as Han Solo. He turned that one down because he does not like Science Fiction movies. Let’s be honest it would have been too much mustache gorgeousness if both Billy Dee Williams and him were in the film.
And then there was one more. One that made Angela Bassete say, “Stop!” Then she added, “It’s amazing he had a career.” That movie was Die Hard. Although, he does not remember turning that role.
Burt some good choices in career and made a lot of stupid ones too. See all of the above.

Kevin Hart launched a new series on YouTube called What The Fit. For the premiere episode, he had Conan O’Brien plan what type of exercise they would do. The talk show host picked Sumo wrestling and you already know is going to be a laugh out loud riot. Especially since he got the idea from a pop up ad he saw when was watching male pornography.
Before they went to work out, they stopped to get something to eat for breakfast. The comedian ate all healthy, while Conan did not. For example, Hart got black coffee and Conan was downing Sam Addams. While O’Brien’s choices sounded like a good idea while he was eating, in the car he regretted his choices. Would he make it to his work out?
He did! I am so glad that he did because I am have waiting to see this since Hart showed a preview clip on Conan’s TBS show. During that interview, Hart kept saying his good friend is so white and he was not exaggerating. It was like looking into that big bright light at the dentist office. I do not know how all of those guys were able to look at him without sunglasses on. Without a shirt on, he is so an Electric Light Orchestra song, you know Blinded By the Light.
Anyways, how did they do wrestling the Sumo wrestlers? As bad as you think. How did they do against each other? As funny as you think.
So funny, they need to have a sitcom together. Or better yet they can star in a remake of Twins, since Hart is half the size of O’Brien like DeVito was to Schwarzenegger. It would be an instant hit! Just like What The Fit is on YouTube, so check out the other episodes now!
