Hugh Grant is starring in Paddington 2, and yesterday on The Tonight Show he told Jimmy Fallon how they asked him to be in the film. The charming actor says they sent him a script with a letter that read, “We are making Paddington part 2, and the bad guy is a washed-up actor who used to be really famous, but he is completely into himself. He’s a horrible narcissist, and no one likes him. And we thought of you Hugh.” To rub salt even more into the wound, they told him the original script the character was named Hugh after him.
Poor Hugh. Even with that pitch, he still decided to do it. Which is a good thing because the critics are loving him as a hasbeen actor who still thinks he is a huge star.
In two days, Disjointed will be back on Netflix for its second season and they gave us a musical number to commemorate the occasion. A song and dance number so amazing, you will be singing it from now until 4/20. Then on the best day of the year, you will be singing it again until the next best day of the year.
Now let’s get serious for a moment, how high do you think they were when they came with this music video? My thought is very very very high! And in California, there is nothing wrong with that since January 1st. Just don’t smoke and drive!
No offense to Rick Springfield and Harry Connick Jr, but we have all heard their songs in the elevator. I guess that is why they took their talent to new heights. Yesterday, after the man, who wanted Jessie’s Girl, was done filming a guest appearance on Connick’s daytime talk show, they had a jam session in a lift.
Too bad it is not part of the show because I would love to hear how it must have sounded. The acoustics have to be incredible inside of one and with Springfield’s voice I am sure it was totally bitchin’.
It looks like Warner Bros is going to need a new Bruce Wayne soon, and you have to wonder if Taylor Lautner is throwing his hat into the mix. Especially since he is wearing a Batman mask as a hat. Do you think he would do a good job as the Caped Crusader?
As we know, Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams had to refilm scenes of All The Money in the World when disgraced Kevin Spacey was abruptly fired and replaced by Christopher Plummer about a month before the movie’s replace date.
Williams told previously told USA Today, “I said I’d be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me. And they could have my salary, they could have my holiday, whatever they wanted. Because I appreciated so much that they were making this massive effort.” She meant it because according to the newspaper, she made $80 a day totaling less that $1,000. Noble, right?
Well, the same cannot be said about Mark Wahlberg, who the paper says was paid $1.5 million for the reshoots. Over 1,000 times more the actress who received a Golden Globe nomination for the role. How f*cked up is that? As a man who loves his mom, his wife and 2 daughters, he needs to donate that salary to #TimesUp. He needs to let women know it is ridiculous he got paid $1,499,000 more than his co-star for doing what he needed to do to save the movie.
What do you think?
BTW now we know why he is one of the highest paid actors and she is one of the most nominated actresses in her generation. It seems like one cares about the money and the other one the art.
