John Mayer is on tour with 3 members of the Grateful Dead, and this morning he is grateful not to be dead. Instead of playing with Dead & Company tonight in New Orleans, he will be spending it in a hospital bed. The band posted this message explaining why they suddenly cancelled their show, “Early this morning, Tuesday, December 5th, John Mayer was admitted into the hospital for emergency appendectomy forcing the Dead & Company December 5th concert in New Orleans to be postponed.”
The band has two more dates this week, Thursday and Friday, and as of now no word if they will go one as scheduled. Thankfully, people recover quickly from appendectomies and he might be able to make those dates. But I think he should rest up instead.
Taylor Swift posted the above red hot photo and said, “I never trust a narcissist. But they love me…” All I have to say to that is I wonder why? Oh wait, we all know the answer to that!
BTW doesn’t she look so devilish bad in this picture.
Years after Alec Baldwin had a failed show on MSNBC, ABC has decided to give him a second shot at hosting a talk show. According to Page Six, it will be like his radio show Here’s the Thing With Alec Baldwin but in front of the cameras. Here’s the Thing is described as, giving “the listener unique entrée into the lives of artists, policy makers and performers. Alec sidesteps the predictable by taking listeners inside the dressing rooms, apartments, and offices of people such as comedian Chris Rock, political strategist Ed Rollins and Oscar winner Michael Douglas.”
If someone would have told me that Alec Baldwin would be a great talk show host before Match Game, I never would have believed them. Now, I say I cannot wait to see what he does with it.
If it is a go, of course. They will be taping some test episodes next week and that will give ABC their first glimpse if it should be a go. Then the tough part is finding out where to put in the overpopulated talk show space on ABC.
Days after Fox suspended Bryan Singer for not showing up to the Bohemian Rhapsody set, they have decided to make that suspension permanent.
The director explained why he has not been on set to The Hollywood Reporter. He said, “Bohemian Rhapsody is a passion project of mine. With fewer than three weeks to shoot remaining, I asked Fox for some time off so I could return to the U.S. to deal with pressing health matters concerning one of my parents. This was a very taxing experience, which ultimately took a serious toll on my own health. Unfortunately, the studio was unwilling to accommodate me and terminated my services. This was not my decision and it was beyond my control.”
When it comes to the rumors that Rami Malek, who plays Freddie Mercury, and him had several confrontations on the set and that helped with Fox’s decision, Singer responded with, “Rumors that my unexpected departure from the film was sparked by a dispute I had with Rami Malek are not true…While, at times, we did have creative differences on set, Rami and I successfully put those differences behind us and continued to work on the film together until just prior to Thanksgiving.”
It also seems that Fox wants nothing more to do with him anymore. The Hollywood Reporter also says that back in October, they did not renew their first look contract with him. Not only that, they also asked him to vacate the production offices he has on their lot when he was done with this movie. Since he is no longer working on the film, they are forced to move out immediately.
This not the first time he has reportedly had problems on the set of a Fox film, but it will be the last.
Finally, no word how or if they will finish Bohemian Rhapsody that is close to being finished.
This time he tried a different tactic with a different actor from the Star Wars Episode VIII. When he was unsuccessful in getting Lupita Nyongo to talk, he brought in his toughest weapon. That weapon in his sweet 6-year-old daughter Ava. Was the cutie able to do what her dad could not? You just have to watch this awwwwdorable video to find out.
BTW I love that no one is fazed that the Oscar winner is covered in blood after filming a scene for her Zombie movie Little Monsters with Olaf.
