On April 21st, Jimmy Kimmel welcomed his 4th child and second with his wife Molly McNearney. It should’ve been one of the happiest days of their lives, but then the nurse noticed that Billy had a heart murmur and was purple. She rushed Billy and Jimmy to another room, so that another nurse could evaluate him. After the room was full of doctors and nurses, they realized that the newborn was born with heart disease. He was immediately rushed from Cedars-Sinai to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. It was there that he was informed that his son needed immediate surgery. Three hours later, the baby survived his first of three surgeries and less than a week after that he is home with his mom, dad and big sister Jane, 2.
To say it was an emotional week for the new parents would be an understatement. His raw emotions as he told the story, will make you want to hug the new dad and tell him it will be OK. Which it is now. To Molly and Jimmy, enjoy him! Your love will help to make his heart grow stronger with every beat.
The ABC host will be on paternity leave this week and several of his friends will fill in for him. Tomorrow Will Arnett will host the show followed by Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell and finally David Spade.
UPDATE: Although I didn’t want to touch the political aspect of his monologue, I feel I have to. Yesterday, a GOP Congressman said, “People who ‘lead good lives’ should pay less than those with pre-existing conditions.” Tell me what bad thing did a one day old baby do to deserve his pre-existing condition. What did the kids at CHLA do to deserve their pre-existing conditions? Even people who ‘lead good lives’ get pre-existing conditions. If you can’t see that, then your pre-existing condition is mental illness and you won’t even fund that. Good and bad people get sick, and we all deserve healthcare. No parent should ever lose a child to a pre-existing condition because they can’t afford it or because some stupid politician thinks they are not worthy of life after they are born. Life doesn’t stop at birth, it is when it begins. You can’t be pro-life, but not support living a healthy life.
Jimmy and Molly, I am sorry you are going through what you are going through, but I hope your story makes a difference. I know Billy will be fine and have the biggest heart you will ever know!

It has been months since we had an all new episode of Lucifer, but he is finally back on Fox tonight at 9p.
It has been two weeks since the last episode took place and no one has seen or heard from Lucifer (Tom Ellis) since he disappeared. Life has moved on for everyone in Los Angeles and he made a big change in his life too. When he finally returns, he has a big announcement. He got married and her name is Candy. No one is sweet on the Las Vegas showgirl except for Lucifer, so that will make things interesting for everyone. Especially, Chloe (Lauren German) who finally realizes she has feelings for him.
When Lucifer comes back she tries to shut him out of her latest investigation, but Candy comes in helpful. Lucifer and Chloe go to marriage counseling to investigate their latest murder case and she winds up revealing the feelings she has for him, but is he smart enough to figure it out?
Then there is his family especially his mother (Tricia Helfer) who don’t like their new in-law. Charlotte doesn’t have time for that because she has come up with a way to get them back up to Heaven. But that will play out more next week.
I watch a lot of television shows and Lucifer is one that I have to watch live. I hate waiting for new episodes because I adore it so much. It is witty, funny and one of the rare procedurals that keeps you guessing until the end of each episode. Plus, every now and again we get to hear Ellis sing. Tonight, he croons out a sexy version of Bangles’ Eternal Flame. Ladies, it will have you swooning as he serenades us through our television screens. Kind of like something the real Lucifer would do.
One of the things that makes Young & Hungry so hilarious every Monday night at 8p on Freeform is Emily Osment’s comedic ability. In some ways she is a lot like Lucille Ball because she knows how to use her face to get people to laugh with her. Plus, she knows how to make a funny line even funnier. That is why I think this photo of her looking like a sad clown is the perfect image for her. Not many people can pull off tears of a clown as well as she can. Therefore make sure to check her out tonight, on a sitcom that is like watching a puzzle. All the pieces fit together in the end.
As we know Zoe Saldana is not green, but her character in Guardians of the Galaxy is. How does she go from mom of three to Gamora? She shared the process with us in an Instagram video.
