After weeks of speculation, Janet Jackson confirmed that she is separated from her husband Wissam Al Mana. She spoke out on Social Media for the first time in almost a year to talk about him, her son and going back on tour in the fall.
She starts out talking about having bags under her eyes and putting on some extra pounds since getting pregnant and having a baby. Something her brother Randy, who was recording her message, jokingly confirmed. Confirming brothers and sisters never grow up.
Then she talked about Eissa. She said, “He is so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby.”
While things are happy with her son, they are not with her marriage. On that front she had this to say, “I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second. Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in Gd’s hands.”
Then she announced that she is changing the name of tour to State of the World. It is not about politics but “people, the World, relationships and just love.” Something the Jacksons have always been big believers in.
No word if she has any new music in the works, but I am sure it will be one of her best albums because so much has happened to her since the last one came out. When it comes to her tour, she always knows how to put on a show! She always has that rhythm nation going on!
