BTWF roles: Charlie Hunnam in Byker Grove
May 15th, 2017 under Before They Were Famous, Graham Norton. [ Comments: none ]

Before Charlie Hunnam was part of the Sons of Anarchy gang, he was a model on Byker Grove. Don’t you just love seeing the 18 year old with a ponytail back in 1998? I also loved hearing him talking to Graham Norton about his big break!

Doesn’t this make you more excited for Will & Grace?
May 15th, 2017 under Debra Messing, Sean Hayes. [ Comments: 2 ]

In case you have not heard, Will & Grace is coming back to NBC on Thursdays this Fall. Today, the Peacock network released the first trailer for the comedy and it seems just like old times. Especially since none of them have aged a day in the 11 years since the show ended.

Now I have 4 months to binge all 8 seasons because this teaser makes me want to watch Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally’s show. I know, I know. I just almost lived it when I moved to LA, so I didn’t see the need to watch my real life. Now that my Will and I are no longer friends, I can totally watch. Should I?

Wait, Buffy the Vampire Slayer had a deeper meaning?
May 15th, 2017 under Freddie Prinze Jr / Sarah Michelle Gellar, Harry Connick Jr. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I always thought that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was about a group of teenagers who slayed Vampires. Turns out it had a much deeper meaning.

Last week when Sarah Michelle Gellar was on Harry Connick’s daytime talk show, she told him all about it when he asked her if there could be a reboot of the show. She said, “Buffy was a show about the horrors of high school realized as actual monsters and transition and how difficult that time is. I am not sure what that translates to as adults. Maybe there is a story, I don’t know.”

Wait, what? That deep message was completely lost on me. And I guess it was also lost on the spinoff Angel because they were adults fighting Vampires. Did you know that was what it was really about?

Part of me is like mind blown and then the other part of me is like she is totally full of sh!t and that is her way getting out of answering the question.

Here is Fox’s Fall schedule!
May 15th, 2017 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Fox announced their Fall schedule and like NBC a lot of their shows will get new days and times.

On Mondays, Lucifer starts the night off with his devilish ways and leads into Marvel’s The Gifted. The latter looks like a darker version of Heroes. I think this will be their strongest night.

Tuesdays begin with Lethal Weapon and it has a lot to prove. Then they give us something to laugh about with The Mick and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It will be interesting to see how the comedies do airing after a drama because the normal structure has them reversed.

Hump day is all Lee Daniels with Empire leading into Star.

Gotham has a new night and it is Thursdays at 8p. At 9p, Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville. Poor Orville is against This Is Us, so it has a strike against it.

Fridays are the same as last Fall with Hell’s Kitchen and The Exorcist. I am still trying to figure out why they picked the latter up for another season.

Finally, Sundays are the same except for the addition of Ghosted at 8:30p. Which is good because it is a strong night.

While that is what is on the schedule, Fox also talked about shows that are not on the schedule. The network feels that Scream Queens has told its story. 24: Legacy is on hold because the star’s lead is on Broadway and they haven’t yet talked about what the next season could entail. Finally, Prison Break was an event series and they will bring it back as such.

Jerry O’Connell toots his own horn
May 15th, 2017 under Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn. [ Comments: none ]

A post shared by Rebecca Romijn (@rebeccaromijn) on

Jerry O’Connell might be 43 years old, but that doesn’t mean he is too old to learn a new trick. The much loved actor is learning how to playing the saxophone. Yesterday for Mother’s Day, he played Wham’s Careless Whisper for his wife Rebecca Romijn. At least that is what she told us what he was doing. But after two lessons, he isn’t that bad. Cannot wait to hear what he sounds like after 10. He might be ready to take his act on the road with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band or an Eddie and the Cruisers remake.
