Lynda Carter can still do the Wonder Woman spin!
April 4th, 2017 under DC Comics, Lynda Carter. [ Comments: 1 ]

A post shared by Joely Fisher (@msjoelyfisher) on

It might be over 40 years since Lynda Carter started the doing the Wonder Woman spin, but the 65 year old can still turn around better than anyone else can.

The actress was performing at the Catalina Jazz Club over the weekend, and her friend Joely Fisher captured her doing that magical twirl during the show. Only problem is, she stayed in her pants suit and didn’t change into her Wonder Woman costume. Something I am sure she still looks extremely hot in.

Now back to her age, can you believe she is a senior citizen because she sure as heck doesn’t look anywhere close to that. Maybe there was something in that Amazonian water she was drinking back in the ’70s because she never ages.

Hank Azaria reveals the real voices behind his Simpsons’ characters
April 4th, 2017 under 7-Eleven, Howard Stern, The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

For 30 years, Hank Azaria has been doing more voices than anyone can count on The Simpsons and yesterday he revealed where some of them came from on The Howard Stern Show.

He told the Shock Jock that Moe the Bartender came from him doing a bad Al Pacino impression during a play with some gravelly Red the Bartender added in. Chief Wiggum is a “weird Edward G. Robinson” from the Film Noir cop days. Apu is a combination of kids he grew up with from India and the man he knew who worked the 7-Eleven near him in Los Angeles. Snake is someone he knew from college who really enjoyed his drugs. Comic Book Guy also came from his college days, he was his next door neighbor from Freshman year. Finally, Lou the Cop is a bad Sylvester Stallone impression.

Will we get any new voices from him? He said, “I think I have done every voice that I can possibly do. Every sound that I can make as a human being has been used.” Even though he says that, I am sure he will find a way.

The Simpsons celebrates it 30th Anniversary, of the first time they appeared on The Tracey Ullmam Show, later this month

Stephen Colbert & Green Day sing Camptown Races to Good Riddance’s melody
April 4th, 2017 under Stephen Colbert. [ Comments: none ]

Stephen Colbert had Green Day on the show and he wanted to sing their Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) with them on The Late Show, but CBS balked at the cost to do it. The host and the band found a way around the pricey tag and played the song with different lyrics. Instead, of using the lyrics that were made notorious on Seinfeld’s series finale, they searched through the Public Domain files to find one that works with the melody of the tune. That free song’s words are Camptown Races and it is very scary how well it works. Almost as scary as the fact that Green Day looks just like they did when they released their biggest hit almost 20 years ago. Yeah, its that old.

Now, I have to say something about Stephen Colbert, this is the second bit he has done in a week that he copied from The Late Late Show with James Corden. First, he had Marisa Tomei do a play with only Lady Gaga’s lyrics for the script, just like Corden does by acting out a Soap Opera scene using a singer’s lyrics. And now he is updating Public Domain songs because they can’t sing the real one. That is so not cool. I know late night shows steal from each other, but it is never ever cool. Be original or get a new job.

What do you think of Colbert stealing ideas from the man who follows him? I mean to me, it makes him no better than the man he makes fun of all of the time.

Eric Stonestreet confirms that Modern Family’s future is in ‘limbo’
April 4th, 2017 under Ellen DeGeneres, Modern Family. [ Comments: 1 ]

Eric Stonestreet is on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to talk about his new show Toy Box, but it is what he said about his old show that will have fans worried. Ellen asked him if it is true that the Modern Family cast do not have contracts for a new season and that they are in the middle of negotiations. He said, “We are right in the middle of it. And I think that everyone has a real positive attitude. And I think we’ll be, I mean that is my gut instinct, is that we are going to be coming back to do more. I think, everybody wants to do more. But is kind of a limbo time.” Then he added, “I might be needing a job.”

Even though the ABC sitcom’s ratings are down, it is still one of the top rated shows on Broadcast TV. Therefore, I would be shocked if it didn’t come back. Plus, it is in syndication and that should help. That is unless they get extremely greedy and the network balks at their requests because they are being really cheap. I am pretty sure that both sides will come to a compromise because they both need it to go on. Would you be upset if this is its last season?

As upset as Stonestreet was at Ellen for scaring him again. I love how excited she gets when she does it and more importantly how scared he gets when she finds no ways to terrify him.

What he really needs to be scared of, is me driving in our neighborhood and seeing him driving his golf cart. I would so sneak up behind him and honk my horn out of no where to see him jump. All while playing the theme from Jaws! Is that wrong?
