Yesterday on The Tonight Show, The Ragtime Gals returned to sing Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Baby Got Back and who knew that the Hip Hop hit could work as a Barbershop Quartet tune. It can and it is pure joy.
Now, if it was sung at a real competition, they would have been laughed off the stage. But with this we get to laugh with them because you can see that they are as having much fun with it as we are listening to them perform it.
You know who wasn’t having fun on The Tonight Show yesterday? Blake Shelton. He went on Jimmy Fallon’s new ride Race Through New York at Universal Studios Orlando with the NBC host and he couldn’t wait to get off. And that was before he got on.
Seriously, why hasn’t NBC given these two a sitcom together. They can call it A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock’n’Roll. Heck, Donny & Marie can play Fallon’s parents as long as you don’t remember that they are brother and sister, but you know where I was going with that.

Throughout his reign of hosting The Late Late Show, James Corden has taken the lyrics of singers like Lady Gaga and Beyonce and turned them into a script for a Soap Opera. Yesterday, he used the words that come out of Katy Perry’s mouth, and made it the best one yet!
If you didn’t know they were her lyrics, you would swear those were real lines of dialogue. They are that believable. It could also be because that be piece of work I have ever seen Claire Danes do. She should give comedy a try because she has the chops for it. The only thing missing was her doing her ugly cry. When it comes to Christine Baranski and Jack McBrayer, we already know they can do comedy and drama, so this was perfect for them.
Seriously though, how much did you love the Days of our Katy Perry? It made my world turn because it was such a guiding light.
A few weeks ago there were reports that Netflix was dumping the 5 Star review system and switching over to a Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down one. Today they made it official and posted this video explainer how it will help you to find more movies that you will want to see on the streaming site.

But I must be honest, I mostly watch their Horror films and they have the worst of the worst.

Sotheby’s got their ring finger on a stunning 59.6 carat diamond known as the Pink Star and sold it to a Hong Kong jewellery company Chow Tai Fook for $71.2 million. Making it is the most expensive piece of jewellery ever sold. Somewhere a man is going to make a woman very happy and she better make him happier for buying her that ring. At least I would let him do whatever he wanted if he put that on my finger.
A little history on the diamond, NBC News says it was “mined in Africa by De Beers in 1999 as a raw 132.5 carat gem and cut over a two-year period.” Imagine how much it would’ve sold for if they didn’t shave off those over 70 carats. Let’s not because it is too much fathom.
