Who’d think that Alec Baldwin would be the least detested man here?
April 9th, 2017 under Alec Baldwin, Donald Trump, Saturday Night Live. [ Comments: none ]

There was a time that everyone hated Alec Baldwin because of a voicemail he left on his daughter’s answering machine. That was them, this is now.

Now, he seems like a saint as compared to our President and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly. Yesterday on Saturday Night Live he played both of those disliked men and it proves how angelic he is as compared to them.

While they might be going somewhere else, I think St Peter is more likely to open his Pearly Gates to the Boss Baby after his portrayals of them in this bit. No matter what his brother says.

Will Janet Jackson’s split get nasty?
April 9th, 2017 under The Jacksons. [ Comments: none ]

Janet Jackson should be experiencing the happiest time of her life as a first time mom to a 3 month old son, but Daily Mail is reporting she split from her husband Wissam Al Mana. No reason was given as why they decided to end their roughly 5 year marriage, but I am sure it will not end peacefully.

Al Mana is Qatari businessman worth around $1 billion and she is worth substantially less. The youngest Jackson also converted to Islam for her husband, so it will be interesting to see if she will remain with the religion. Plus, we don’t know who will get custody of Eissa. Since it is her first child and she had him 50, I am sure she will fight for full custody of him. But you never know.

Just think a year ago, she announced that she was her postponing her Unbreakable tour to focus on having a baby. A year later, we are waiting for her to announce that she split from her baby daddy. Proving a lot can happen in 365 days and that Unbreakable was just a name for her tour not referring to her marriage.

This was her third marriage and his first.

A tale of two Journey singers!
April 8th, 2017 under Steve Perry. [ Comments: none ]

Last night, Journey was inducted into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame and both singers were there to accept it. Although there were rumors that Steve Perry would perform with the band since they went their separate ways 1991, he did not. He did give a speech a thanking the band.

To show there was no ill will between Perry and Arnel Pineda, the new singer shared the above photo and said, “One of the sweetest hug you can ever get from one of my heroes and silent mentors..it means the world to me..waited 35 years for this moment..thank you Almighty Gd!! #TheVoice #StevePerry #oneofthemostmemorable #maximumblessings
Thank you so much Mr Steve Perry for your priceless words and graciousness..
@taratogs @curachalang @yulsession @journeymusicofficial” Yul Session also shared a photo of himself with the two Journey singers and you can see how excited they are to be together at last. They are beaming ear to ear.

When it comes to band being honored by the Hall of Fame, all I have to say is it took them long enough. The band deserved the recognition for a long time because not only has their music been the voice of generation, it has also been part of a some television’s most iconic moments from Glee’s first episode to The Sopranos’ last frame. That speaks, or should I say sings, more than a lot of other singer and bands who were inducted before them. Next up Duran Duran.

But I digress. When it comes to Perry and Journey, I wish they would have performed together yesterday. To me, he will always be their voice and no one can replace him. Yes I know, Pineda sounds just like him, but I am Steve Perry girl faithfully. I don’t stop believin’ that some day we might hear them all together one more time. Just like The Police, who did not perform at the induction, but did go on tour together years afterwards. How awesome would that be? The fans would welcome them with open arms!

Sadly Sir Patrick Stewart did not adopt Ginger
April 8th, 2017 under Sir Patrick Stewart/Sir Ian McKellen. [ Comments: none ]

Last month, we fell in love with all the picture and videos that Sir Patrick Stewart shared of him with his foster Pitbull Ginger, but this story has a saddish ending. The actor’s wife Sunny Ozell revealed that they did not adopt their best friend. She explained on Facebook why they could not keep the sweet girl.

Patrick and I said goodbye to Ginger last week. We had fallen madly in love, and had explored every possibility of getting her to the U.K. (where we’d be able to give her the kind of life she deserves), but alas the Breed Specific Legislation in place there really made it ultimately impossible. We could not bear to take a risk with her life, knowing that she has a bright future ahead of her even if she’s not “ours”. She will forever be a light of my life, and we’ll be keeping in touch with her as much as possible. Fostering is a remarkable experience, and I would absolutely encourage anyone considering it to take the plunge. Thank you again to the beautiful @aspca and the brave @wagsandwalks for giving us such a profound opportunity. #GingerGurl #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives #pibbles #NoBSL

I am sure whoever gives Ginger a furever home will love her as much as the Stewarts do. It is such a shame that the breed is banned in England. I know people see them as ferocious dogs, but everyone I know who has one says they are the sweetest most lovable pups. Some people abused a few of them and the whole breed goes down with them. We need to reevaluate how we look at Pitbulls, so that they can find furever homes all over the World.

The Toy Box is fun, You the Jury is not
April 7th, 2017 under ABC, Fox, Mattel. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ik2DsG6pUhw
Do you love Shark Tank, but wish they only did toys? That is what The Toy Box on ABC at 8p tonight is all about, but with a twist!

Each week, 5 inventors pitch their toys to 3 judges to see if they will advance to the next round. Those judges are Dylan Candy’s creator Dylan Lauren, toy critic Jim Silver and Pixar Animation Studios’ creative director of Consumer Products, Jen Yan. After looking at their inventions, they decide if they should move on the toy box or go home to play with their toy.

What is the toy box? The business people who have moved on, face their toughest critics. Four judges, who are children, and they know what makes a toy work and what doesn’t. They are Aalyrah Caldwell, Noah Ritter, Sophia Grace Brownlee and Toby Grey. They might be in school, but they mean business. They ask the masterminds questions and then play with the toys before they deliberate who moves on.

Each episode, one person advances to the final round. The winner of that round gets their product produced by Mattel Toys. Something that they have given up their homes and children’s education to do. It is crazy how far these people have gone to make their dream a reality.

Toys like a soccer ball that opens up into other balls, a doll that talks in 3 languages, a ballerina doll that you can pose like one, 2 different takes on pinatas and many more toys that make you feel like a child again. On that note, this fast paced competition show is hosted by Modern Family’s Eric Stonesteet who is forever a child.

Do you love court shows and wish you could be on the jury? With You the Jury that debuts on Fox tonight at 9p you get to do just that.

Each week a a plaintiff pleads their case and their lawyers will question them and the person they are suing. After both sides have presented their cases and all their evidence has been heard, it is time for closing arguments. Unlike a real trial, the people involved in the case give them. Then it is up for you to decide who wins and who loses.

It sounds like a great idea on paper, but the modern day set makes it all seem cold. It feels more like Who Want to Be A Millionaire than You The Jury. That and Judge Jeanine Pirro is awful as the host because she is stiffer than a gavel. Plus, her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

My verdict is guilty as charged. It’s a good idea turned bad.
