Telenovela is the behind the scenes look at the world of a Spanish Soap Opera, and tonight at 10p on NBC you will get to see them in action. Since it is a comedy, you will be laughing from the start until the end of each half hour episode.
Ana Sofia Calderon (Eva Longoria) is the star of the popular Spanish show, yet she doesn’t speak Spanish. No one cares because you can’t tell and she is the star. Everything is going good for her until…they bring a new cast member. That sexy Latino star is her ex-husband Xavier Castillo (Jencarlos Canela) and he has been hired to be her love interest. She doesn’t want that to happen because of their very bitter divorce, so she talks to the new Head of the Network.
He (Zachary Levi) is Caucasian, but he loves every thing about the Latino culture and he speaks Spanish. How is Ana Sofia going to keep her secret from him? She will date him.
Thankfully, she will have her BFFs to help her out. There’s Mimi (Diana-Maria Riva) the show’s costumer and Gael (Jose Moreno Brooks) her gay co-star. They have a friendship no one can come between.
Then there are her campy co-stars Rodrigo Suarez (Amaury Nolasco), who plays the villain with a mustache. Isabela Santamaria (Alex Meneses) the former child star turn Soap Queen who has twin sister out to destroy her. Tonight at 10:30p the twins have an epic cat fight that you don’t want to miss. Finally, there is Roxie Rios (Jadyn Douglas) the pretty but dumb beauty who is very sweet.
Together they make up Telenovela, a sitcom that makes you laugh hysterically at the dramatic lives of the people that work on a Telenovela.
What makes this comedy work so well is the great chemistry between the cast. You can tell that they are having a blast and because of that you have fun along with them.
After tonight the show moves to January 4th at 8:30p on NBC.
Two days after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s second child graced us all with his presence, the proud parents released the name of their holy child. They named their son Saint because they are that full of themselves. Did we expect any less from them? I mean, his cousin’s name is Reign. Those poor boys.
Paper Magazine asked John Stamos what is the craziest thing he did this year and he told them, “Pose bottomless for PAPER.”
It might be the craziest thing he did all year, but it is the thing I am the most grateful that he did this year. I mean, c’mon, his tush is perfect, not that expected anything different, so it is nice to finally see it.
Oh and we can say what we want about him because he told the mag, “I rarely read about myself — mostly because I’m tired of ‘me’ — and also if you believe the good stuff, you have to believe the bad stuff. I just stay away.” But we can’t stay away from him!
