One of the things you have to deal with when you are a morning news anchor is live animals, of all kinds, being on the show. The other day when Kip Smith from Wildlife Encounters of Gretna was on KMTV‘s morning newscast he decided to have some fun with the anchors, Mike DiGiacomo and Mary Nelson.
Smith brought out a skunk and explained to the anchors why they spray. As he was holding the little guy, all of sudden it appeared that the skunk was spraying them. DiGiacomo was so horrified, he got up and walked out. Then Smith revealed that he was holding a little water pump and the skunk didn’t leave his scent behind.
What a stinker. This might be the best prank that anyone has done during a newscast because it is something everyone fears when they see a skunk. So imagine what it must be like when you have to be all happy and composed and that happens.
I know I would not have been able to handle that as well as they did. I would have been cursing up a storm, live TV or not.
On Friday, NBC announced that they picked up Blindspot for a full season and today ABC announced that they are doing the same for Quantico. Unlike Blindspot that got an additional 9 episode order, the FBI drama was only picked up for 6 more episodes.
Why they are only doing 19 episodes instead of the traditional 22, we don’t know. But I can’t fault their decision because after 3 episodes, I am struggling to keep interest in the show. Too many characters, too many twists, too many turns, too much for my brain on Sunday night. I think if they ease up on all of that, they will keep people interested. If not, they will continue to lose viewers like they did this week.

John Stamos woke up this morning and did what most of us do, he took a Selfie in bed. Not only did he take the photo, as soon as he was awake enough, he posted it on Instagram.

Olivia Wilde was on Late Night yesterday and Seth Meyers asked her to take part in the Actathalon Challenge. Basically, she had to show off her acting skills in 10 different scenes, each harder than the one before it.
Which one did she excel at? The horror themed one, and I want to know why she hasn’t played a scream queen yet. Let’s be honest, she nailed them all. In fact, throwing wine at the NBC late night host’s face seemed to come so natural to her. So much so, you have to wonder if it is something she does a lot. Too bad House still isn’t on the air because I’d love to see her do that to him.
The Actathalon Challenge is so brilliant, I can’t wait to see more actors take part in it. So far only Neil Patrick Harris and Wilde are the only ones to have successfully finished it. Who would you like to see give it a try?
Playboy made an announcement as huge as Pamela Anderson’s fake breasts. They told The New York Times that they are going to get out of fully nude business.
Playboy’s Chief Executive Scott Flanders said, “That battle has been fought and won.” Then he added, “You’re now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it’s just passé at this juncture.”
Playboy without nudes is like TV Guide without TV Listings and Rolling Stone without music articles. Oh wait, it is like all the other magazines out there.
Poor teenage boys, they are going to have to get there porn for free from the internet.
