You are cordially invited to the wedding of Leo Hendrie and April Carver tonight at 9p at ABC Family. After a brief engagement, their wedding day is finally here on Chasing Life.
Cancer patients, April and Leo know they have to grab life balls. When you know the person is right for you, why waste time, just get married. That is what tonight’s episode is all about. The couple who have been told at different times that their life has an expiration date, want to make their love eternal. They are looking forward to walking down the aisle and becoming Mr & Mrs. They are putting all of their set backs behind them, and they are moving forward by making their special day even more special.
As April is walking down the aisle to her husband to be, she collapses. Will she make it down to Leo? Is the wedding over just as it was beginning? They know for them the expression, til death they do part, can come a lot sooner for them than most couples. Is it coming tonight?
You will just have to watch to find out. All I will tell you, is get the tissue boxes ready because there will be tears. I am not telling you if they are happy ones or sad ones, but I will say be prepared for the waterworks.
If I could marry Chasing Life, I would. Tonight’s episode is just another reason why on a long list of reasons why I love this show until cancellation we do part. Which better not be for a long time ABC Family!
Idina Menzel shared a photo of herself looking like her makeup artist’s hands were frozen when they put on her face powder. What is the dealio? It is a method called baking, where you let powder stay on your face for a few minutes to help set the base foundation and concealer. When the time is up, you remove it and get a flawless finish. But for those 5 minutes, you look like you have never put on makeup before and have no idea what you are doing.

At this point, the only people who aren’t sick of The Kardashians are The Kardashians. Fox 35’s John Brown is so fed up with them; that when the Entertainment Reporter was going to tell a story about them, he got up and walked out. He refused to come back to the couch until they were done with the segment.
Personally, I can’t blame him because I am sick of them too. Maybe if more news show, magazines and blogs (yes I am guilty of it too) took this stand, they would go away like Speidi did. So who’s ready to do it? No more Kardashians!
Sex education has been an important part of my life. I can still remember the first time a teacher taught me about it in 5th grade. I remember in 10th grade, kids would hand me their questions that they were too embarrassed to ask in class. When I was in college, I handed out on condoms in the breezeway and gave demonstrations on safer sex. In my adult life, I spent a few years working for a nonprofit that assisted Hollywood with sexual health issues. I know it is important, but others think if we sweep it under the rug it will go away. Sex has been around since the Adam & Eve, and it ain’t going away as much as people want it to. Yet, many parents can’t talk to their kids about it. To make matters worse, they don’t want schools to talk about it either. So where are they are going to learn to protect themselves?
Yesterday, John Oliver took on that issue on his HBO show Last Week Tonight and he elaborated about it better than I ever can. The way he talks about it makes sense, the way I express it comes out with anger. How can states tell kids, it is not OK to be gay? Or tell them that abstinence is the only way. It is the best way, not the only way. We need to protect the next generation. Because let’s be honest how many of you waited until your wedding night? How many of you were prepared for your first time? Don’t you want your loved ones to know how to use a condom, so that their risk of an STD and/or pregnancy is greatly reduced. What happens if you don’t talk to your kids about sex? I don’t maybe something like what allegedly happened to The Duggars.
I am not saying that kids should have sex, I am saying they should be aware of their options. Talking to kids about sex doesn’t mean that they are going to run to do it. It just means they will be prepared when they do.
You know how most people look peaceful when they sleep? Well not Kanye West. He looks just as mean as when he is awake. Which I guess seem fitting.
Now, when it comes to his wife Kim Kardashian, she needs to stop sticking out her tongue in photos. She looks so stupid. Who told her it looks good? If she keeps doing it, then I will picture her putting it on a pole on an ice cold day.
