The Messengers comes down on The CW tonight at 9p and you don’t want to miss this Sci-fi drama with a religious theme.
It is a normal day, until some mysterious object crashes down on to Earth. The object sends off a shock wave that effects 5 people. When they are hit by it, they die. Within minutes of their death, they come back to life and they have a message for us. What it is, we don’t know but it appears to be heaven sent.
Who are The Messengers? There is Joshua Jr (Jon Fletcher) who is a televangelist. Erin (Sofia Black-D’Elia), a mother of a young girl, who is trying to escape her abusive cop boyfriend. Peter (Joel Courtney), a socially awkward teen. Raul (JD Pardo), a federal agent whose cover was just blown. And Vera (Shantel VanSanten), a NASA scientist who saw the object come down before it turned her into a Messenger.
We don’t know what their message is just yet, but the message of the pilot is we want to know more more more. We will just have to tune in every Friday at 9p to find out that more more more.

Matt Lauer and Ellen DeGeneres have been pranking each other back and forth, and the host of Today got her good. He put 4 billboards up around Los Angeles saying that Ellen‘s other job is as a plumber. This is the first time they have taken their pranks outside of the studios, and I can see his handiwork about her handiwork from my window. Not really, but it is two blocks from my place. So I feel like I get to enjoy this prank personally. Especially since I see it all the time now.
And now I wonder how she is going to get him back because you know it is going to be good. He is playing with fire, and he is going to burn.

I wonder what else we are going to learn about the Tony winner. During live the version of Peter Pan which aired on NBC, we learned that he has really big arms. Now, in this photo we learned, he, well, has a third big arm! What’s next? Are you going to tell me he was married to Sutton Foster? Oh wait, he was. So what’s left? Who cares! This is more than enough, way more than enough.
