https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQYkGeeSfJ4 Homeland is back on Showtime tonight at 9p with two new episodes and it is much different show than you remember. They say if you have given up on it, now is the time to come back. If you have never seen it, then now is the time to start watching.
Tonight’s episode picks up about a year after the season finale and Carrie is stationed in Kabul. The child she had with Brody is back in The States living with her sister as Carrie tries different ways to avoid her daughter, Frannie. When Carrie is given some good information that leads to bad situation, everything she has worked for has been compromised. Will she be able to get back on track or will her life as she knows it be over?
This is just one of the many questions you will ask yourself about season four. Recently at the Showtime TCA Summer Press Day, Executive Producers, Alex Gansa, Alexander Cary and Meredith Stiehm talked about this season and here are five answers you will want to know before you watch.
1 – Will Brody be back?
Gansa: “I can say unequivocally that Dana Brody will not be back for Season 4.”
2 – What happened to Saul?
Gansa: “I don’t think I’m giving too much away to say that Saul is no longer in the CIA as per the end of last season. But another interesting ramification of a military draw down in Afghanistan, for example, is that private contractors become that much more important. It’s a market opportunity for people that work in private contracting, private military business. And that’s who Saul has gone to work for. So largely that’s how his character gets introduced back into that world.”
3 – The baby?
Gansa: “I think that Carrie is very stable in terms of her illness, but I think she’s got a period of grieving to do and coming to terms with what happened at the end of last season. And clearly, that’s represented in, you know, identified by the child that she had. So the baby exists as a marker for her emotionally. But the place that she’s in now is a place where you cannot have dependents, so she was forced to leave the child at home.”
4 – What to expect?
Stiehm: “She’s (Carrie) in a completely different role now that she’s overseas. And there’s a very big storyline with somebody she’s recruiting and trying to get close to and trying to get his trust.
5 – Where is this season filmed?
Gansa: And though Cape Town might not seem like an ideal place to shoot for Islamabad, it’s actually amazing. A lot of Bollywood films have started shooting in Cape Town, and there’s a big expatriate community of Pakistanis and Indians there which provides us extras and great character actors,

CNN’s ratings are in the crapper, so you have to wonder by this image if they have just given up. I mean they aren’t even bothering to come with headlines anymore to put in the lower third of the screen. They are just using the comes-with-the-program “Main Headline Banner” graphic. Which I guess is better than the scaring the crap out of you graphics they could’ve been using like Deadly Ebola in the US or Ebola is Here and It’s Coming for You, so they can drum ratings.
James Franco and Seth Rogen decided to do their own version of Naked & Afraid and they shared some pictures from the clothes free weekend. Sadly or thankfully for us, they digitally covered up their pineapple expresses. Granted, did anyone of really want to see them penis sword fight out there in nature? I didn’t think so.

I love sitcoms. I love bad sitcoms. I actually liked Caveman, Work It, Dads and Outsourced to name a few, so you can tell my standards are pretty low. I thought that Whitney and Mixology were awful, but those shows were actually better than Mulaney that debuts on Fox tonight at 9:30p.
Some people are comparing this show to Seinfeld, because it has four characters like the classic comedy and it takes place in NYC. Other than that, it is not like Seinfeld. It’s like the intern who was working in accounting on the ’90s sitcom is the one writing Mulaney. It is that unfunny.
It is not only that the storylines are horrendous, it is so sickening that they landed comedic legends like Martin Short, Elliott Gould, Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco to appear on it too. We finally get Martin Short back on TV and he is thrown into this piece of crap. Even he can’t make you laugh because everything about his character and the show is so awful that not even brilliance can make this stupidity seem smart.
There is an episode where his roommate Jane (Nasim Pedrad) decides to give up on men, so she gets a cat. When the pet doesn’t show her the affection she wants, she starts to seduce the kitty. The feline’s horrified reaction to her desperation is just like the expression you will have on your face when you watch this show that is exactly something the pussy left in the litter box for Jane.
It’s funny, I have read articles that John Mulaney says that he is the inexperienced one in this bunch, but shockingly he is better actor than his co-stars Perad, Seaton Smith and Zack Pearlman.
Now when it comes to describing the plots of the show, I can’t. After watching four episodes, I am try to block out the horror that is known as Mulaney.
You can check out this show to see if all the critics were right when they said that this show sucks, but why suffer. We already did it for you.
It has been a bad week for Dallas. First the first case of Ebola was diagnosed in the city and today TNT made the mistake of cancelling the show. Dallas was just getting good and I think could’ve done so much more if given the chance. Now we won’t know who JR had a daughter with because of the cancellation.
Hopefully the producers will shop it around to another network like Lifetime, which, I think, was always a better fit for the nighttime soap.
