Robert Hays just can’t get away from Airplane!
September 2nd, 2014 under Ads, Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

Even though it has been almost 35 years since Airplane came out, that isn’t stopping from Robert Hays from playing his most famous character twice this year. First, he resurrected Ted Striker for Sharknado 2 and now he is doing it again for Wisconsin. Unlike the Syfy movie, this time he had some co-stars with him on this flight. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was once again his co-pilot Roger Murdock and there is another surprise fans of the franchise will enjoy!
Thank you Wisconsin for doing this ad, it was anything but cheesy. Or wait, is it supposed to be cheesy, you know, because that is what the state is known for?
Either way, I loved it! Maybe the Zucker Brothers will consider boarding this franchise again?

Before Katy Perry was a pop star, she was a Christian artist. How cute was the 16 year old in that 1991 video?

It’s a cloudy day for One Direction on Sesame Street!
September 2nd, 2014 under One Direction, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

One Direction is going to be back on Sesame Street this month and they are not as popular as they used to be. The girls found some new rock stars to idolize and you’ll never believe who their #1 is now. I can totally see why the ladies are digging the new 1D. Do you see it too?

Is CNN trying to get us to tune in or out?
September 2nd, 2014 under TV News. [ Comments: none ]

If you are like me, then bugs makes you squeamish. And if you are like me, then this CNN report is so not for you. David McKenzie went to a cockroach farm in China where Wang Fumin is raising millions of roaches for pharmaceutical companies. Not only does he love taking care of them, he also loves to eat them. At one point in the story, the reporter tries some of them. Then after he swallows, he describes the taste. Something I totally could have lived without knowing. Actually this whole story is something I could’ve lived without knowing.
So I ask you is CNN trying to get us to watch or to switch the channel? I know if I see bugs, then I change the channel.

Tonight’s Finding Carter will blow you away
September 2nd, 2014 under VH1/MTV. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 10p, Finding Carter will leave you speechless.
Carter (Kathryn Prescott) and Crash (Caleb Ruminer) are on the run and she doesn’t know that she has been cleared of all charges from her arrest. The two of them are on the road with very little money, a gun he bought for protection and nowhere to go; but they are in a car and they will keep driving until they stop. Their first stop will bring Carter to a familiar place, the last place she lived with her mom (Milena Govich). While she is there, she finds a clue from her mom and she knows she has to get a message to her.
Meanwhile, Carter’s biological mom (Cynthia Watros), puts out an Amber alert on her and Carter finds out she did it. Therefore, Crash and she decide to ditch their phones, so that they won’t be tracked.
Now with no phones, how will she be able to get a message to her mom? She convinces Crash to go back to Fairfax, and use Max as the intermediary.
But something goes wrong and someone gets shot. Carter will have to make a decision, should she stay or should she go? What will she do?
You just have to watch this gut-wrenching episode to find out. You really don’t want to want to miss it because the editing on the shooting scene will leave you silent. Actually, the whole episode will keep you on the edge of your seat, and very few shows this summer have been able to do that as well as this one.
If you’ve never seen this original unpredictable series, then you can catch up on it on the MTV app. I promise it is well worth binge watching to get caught up.
