Is The Big Bang Theory in trouble?
July 30th, 2014 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

The Big Bang Theory was supposed to have their first table read of the season today, but the cast didn’t show up. Why? Because the original 5 are going through contract negotiations with the studio. They want more money, a lot more money and as of today they haven’t gotten what they wanted. According to The Hollywood Reporter the first group which consists of Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki all want a million dollars (up from $325,000) an episode plus a cut of the show’s back end. While Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are also asking for a hefty raise, their amount is unknown.
I am sorry, but I don’t think anyone is worth getting $22 million a year. Yes, it’s TV’s top comedy but are they really worth that much? I say no. But then again, you can’t blame them because when this show is done, so will their careers be also. They pretty much are typecasted now and it will be hard for them to find other work. They might be able to, but still it will be hard. I mean, I saw Jim Parsons, in his first non-TBBT role and all I saw was Sheldon. I am sure I am not the only one. Galecki, has more money than he needs after being on two huge hit sitcoms. I am sure Cuoco will do a few telemovies and maybe another series. And when it comes to Nayyar and Helberg, although both of then are fine comedic actors, I just don’t see them doing anything else.
Plus, I thought TBBT was starting to show its age last season, and I am not sure how much longer it can remain the #1 comedy. Here’s to hoping ABC sneaks up ahead of them on Wednesdays.
Do you think the cast is worth more money or they should be happy with what they got?
Finally the first thing I want to hear if they get their huge a$$ raises, is we donated some of earnings to a charity. When was the last time you heard that after a big raise? I am talking to you The Simpsons and Modern Family cast? I could be wrong, but I don’t remember hearing any of their money going to a good cause. Did you?

July 30th, 2014 under Fifty Shades, Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

Jimmy Fallon is the nice guy of late night, but yesterday he showed his true colors on The Tonight Show. He asked the guys from The Roots to watch the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer. The band thought they were going to see the erotic trailer, but instead they saw something else. Something scarier than the miscasting and bad acting from the movie, they saw a scary face. How did they react? Perfectly! Well the sadist in the NBC late night host and me thought it was perfect! Others, nah others will love it too.
So hit play because it will be the first time you will enjoy the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer.

Daniel Radcliffe works his magic as he shaves a guy’s head?
July 30th, 2014 under Harry Potter, Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Daniel Radcliffe was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and he did something he has never done before. He shaved a guy’s head. Why? For some reason the ABC late night show was shaving men’s heads to cool them off from the hot summer days, and Harry Potter got to work his magic on one of the victims. Let’s just say, the actor is better off keeping to his day job. Not that he did such a bad job, he just didn’t do a great one either.
Would you let him shave your head?

Allison Williams is Peter Pan for NBC
July 30th, 2014 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC has found their Peter Pan for the live version of the musical that will air in December and it is Allison Williams. Since I don’t watch Girls, the only thing I know about her is that she is Brian Williams’ daughter. But when I heard she was the one cast, it didn’t scream Peter Pan to me. So I asked my friend who watches the HBO show if she would be good, and he said no. Then I listened to some of her singing videos on YouTube and it confirmed what I thinking. Her voice is too high to play the male lead. Was it in her dad’s contract that she gets to star in something huge on the network so he can promote his little girl like crazy?
I’d rather deal with Carrie Underwood’s bad acting than what I am expecting this musical special to be. I have a feeling it will be all about Christopher Walken’s dancing and not about everything else.
What do you think of Allison Wiliams as Peter Pan?
