Kevin Bacon was on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon yesterday and he made one of the best entrances ever. The man who every actor in Hollywood is Six Degrees of Separation from danced like he danced in Footloose. By doing so he proved that even though it has been 30 years since the cult classic movie, he still looks and moves just like he did then. Well that and creating one of the best late night entrances ever!
NBC is bringing back Last Comic Standing on May 22nd and they are changing things up on the reality game show this seaosn. This time around JB Smoove is hosting the show that has previously been hosted by Jay Mohr and Craig Robinson. If The Millers star isn’t a big enough reason for you to watch, then hearing that Roseanne, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Russell Peters are judging the competition will make you want to tune in.
At the beginning of the 13 week show, we will watch 100 comedians get narrowed down to 10. Once we get to the Top Ten, then NBC says, “In this phase, they will compete in different comedy disciplines, such as sketch, improv and stand-up, proving themselves both individually and in teams.”
As someone who has watched and loved every season of Last Comic Standing, I am so thrilled that it is not only back, but it is returning with this awesome lineup of comedians. You know, Roseanne is going to be bringing the interesting.
Ever since the Oscars, everyone has wanted to know what Idina Menzel thought of John Travolta introducing her as Adele Dazeem. Well, Billboard finally asked her about it and she told them she Let It Go. Actually what she said was that leading up to her performance she was very Zen and focused, that is until he botched up her name. His screw up threw her for a loop, but then she remembered when she was and got back on track singing the track. So what happened after the Oscars? She said that, “He was really gracious and sent this gorgeous email, and we’re buddies and it’s all cool.” Does she hold any resentment towards him? Nope, she also said, “Please. I mean, I’ve only benefited from it.”
That is so true, ever since the Oscars everyone knows her name, Adele Dazeem, I mean, Idina Menzel!
Having lived in NYC, Miami and Atlanta and now currently living in LA, I have to admit I can get angry when I drive. A new study has proven that it’s not safe to drive that way. So a car company came up with an automobile that will detect if you are starting to get upset and warn you. While that is a good idea, Chevy has a better one! Yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the car company introduced their new car Rage. You don’t have to get upset, because it will do it for you. And if that pedestrian thinks he can tell you off? Select Rages have a way to deal with that instance too.
I don’t know about you, but I want a Chevy Rage now, even though it’s not perfect. Although it’s pretty darn close. What would make it perfect for me? If it gave the finger too! Because that is an act that all Road Ragers participate in.
