How come there hasn’t been more build up for The Lego Movie!
June 18th, 2013 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

Did I miss the memo that there was going to a movie with Legos? Because until the trailer came out for The Lego Movie, I didn’t know it was happening. Now that I know it will be hitting the big screens on February 7th, I can’t wait to see it! I can’t remember the last time a trailer put as big of a smile on my face as this one. Doesn’t it look as much fun as when you played with your first set of Legos?

Five little things you should know about the Twisted cast!
June 18th, 2013 under Freeform. [ Comments: none ]

Last week got to know to some of the teenagers from Green Grove, and today I have some interesting facts to share with you about the cast from ABC Family’s Twisted before you watch the show tonight at 9p.
Last week we got to see how three buddies’ friendship changed with each other when one of them killed his aunt when they were just 11. Now that 16 year old Danny is back, his ex-friends Jo and Lacey have to adjust to having him back in their life. It is all made even more complicated when we find out that Lacey’s best friend was murdered. Of course we all think he did it, but did he? We will just have to watch to find out.
Now that is the show, what about the people who are playing those characters. I was recently at a set with the cast and they told us some interesting little tidbits about themselves!

Kylie Bunbury‘s character, Lacey, is popular on the show, but she is into something that hasn’t been popular in a while. She shared with us, “I tweet. I don’t know if I’m a necessarily a good one. Most of my tweets are about video games and old video games.” Then she added, “Yeah I love the whole Nintendo, like old, old Nintendo. I’m trying to think what else. What did I just tweet about? Oh, Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong was everything. Crash Bandicoot I mean I could go on for a long time. My nerd meter just went up very high.”

While Avan Jogia, is being bullied as Danny on the show, in real life he doesn’t put up with that. He told us, “I started this organization called Straight But Not Narrow, and it’s a straight ally platform for straight people to talk about their gay friends, and kind of basically my through line with this is that if someone is getting bullied on the grounds of you know their sexual orientation, and you’re around and you are against that fundamentally, against that kind of bullying, and you don’t say anything you’re taking the same position as the bully. Your silence is louder, your apathy is louder than – it’s just as loud as the person who is aggressing, and so it’s making people who are around it accountable to the situation that’s going on.”

Then there is Denise Richards, who plays his mom. At home she has a house full of single digit kids, so what is like for her to play mom to a teenager on the show. “First of all, I thought they made mistake, and I’m way too young. Then I thought okay, I probably could, and then I thought maybe I’m his step mom because we look nothing alike, but then they cast the cute dad. I have a teenage nephew that I kind of you know I’m able to relate, but obviously a very different than having little kids.” She really doesn’t look like she could be old enough to play his mother either.

Jo’s best friend Nico is played by Ashton Moio, and before he was an actor he was a stuntman. In fact if you didn’t blink, you saw him in The Hunger Games. When asked what he did in the blockbuster film, he told us “Yeah it was the District 6 tribute. So it’s kind of like the stunt thing that it was sort of like an acting part too. Then I had that one line remind me where I’m like you know, it’s my knife, I didn’t take your knife, and he’s like, you took my knife, I’m like, no.” And what was his character’s fate, he said “Yeah I died. If you watch the movie I actually die like twice, but it’s going on in the background and stuff.” So re-watch the movie to see him die not once, but twice.

And here is another fun fact about Kylie Bunbury, on the show has a sister, but in real life she only has brothers. In fact she comes from a sports family. Her farther was a professional soccer player and now her brother, Teal Bunbury, is following in their father’s cleats. In fact Teal plays on the Sporting Kansas City, the same team his dad Alex played on back in the day.

So now that you know a little bit more about the actors, find out more about their characters tonight on Twisted at 9p on ABC Family.

Tonight is all about the makeovers on Dance Moms and Pretty Wicked Moms!
June 18th, 2013 under Dance Moms, Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

At 9p on Lifetime, Abby leaves the Dance Moms all alone in Pittsburgh as she goes to LA to check out the dance studios there. What they don’t is that Cathy at Candy Apples is building a new team to compete against them and they include rivals. First Cathy asks Hadley from Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition to join the team and her mom, Yvette, wants to bring her down for calling her daughter roadkill. But it doesn’t stop there, she also asked Black Patsy (the name she gave herself) and Nicaya to join too. Since Abby is in LA our girls won’t be competing, so she asks the moms to spy on what Cathy has up her sleeve. How will our moms react when they find out about Cathy’s evil plan? You will have just to tune in to find out!
Then at 10p, it is Halloween time on Pretty Wicked Moms. The moms and their kids dress up for the holiday and attend a party at Marci’s house. And these moms all over dress, well except for Meredith. When Emily and Nicole N see her dressed as a mechanic, they decide to give her a head to toe makeover. Then when they are done, they throw her a party to show her off. But something happens that makes Meredith cry hysterically. Meredith told them something personal about herself and Nicole N exploited it. Will they be able to overcome it or will everything be ruined? You have to tune in to find out and to see how Meredith’s makeover turned out.

Nick Cannon and Chris Rock talk about their man cannon and their man rock!
June 18th, 2013 under Chris Rock, Howard Stern, Nick Cannon. [ Comments: 2 ]

Nick Cannon was a guest on The Howard Stern Show today and the America’s Got Talent judge asked the host about the size of his cannon. Well Mr Mariah Carey wasn’t shy to tell the world that when he is gets excited he is almost at the “9” mark”. No wonder Mimi and him are still happily married! And he did talk about her too, and he admitted that she “hated” working on American Idol. Talking about work, he also confirmed to Stern that NBC did talk to him about replacing Jimmy Fallon on Late Night. He turned the job down because he doesn’t have the time for a commitment like that. Which is a shame because he would’ve been perfect for the job.
Cannon wasn’t the only guest on the show today, Chris Rock made a surprise appearance. The comedian revealed that he has “a bigger than average c0ck.” Although he doesn’t know how big because he never measured it with a ruler, but he did say it is easily over 7″.
Now as big as both men say they are, they ain’t got nothing on the other guest that was there. Jonah Falcon is on record as having the biggest one at 13.5″. Which is probably the real size of Nick, Chris and Howard all put together. Sorry Howard, but you always say how small you are!

Steve Harvey might not be asking people what their job is after this answer
June 18th, 2013 under Steve Harvey. [ Comments: none ]

So as we know, game show hosts like to ask the contestants what they do for a living. Well Steve Harvey asked a contestant on Family Feud that very question, and quickly regretted it. Ron told Harvey that he owns and runs a crematorium. OK, so we are all a little weirded out at this point, but it gets worse. Harvey then decided that he wanted to know more and that was a huge mistake. Ron explained, “I learned about the business because my wife and I have a pizza oven in the backyard.” Instead of stopping there, Steve wanted to know “was that where you first tried somebody?” Ron responded with a smile on his face, “No, no, no. We did neighborhood cats and dogs.” At that point, Steve couldn’t talk to him anymore for the rest of the show. I can’t say I blame him. Although I wish Harvey would’ve followed up by asking if he still used that pizza oven to cook food. Then again maybe we don’t want to know.
