BTWF roles: Chris Pine on ER
May 9th, 2013 under Before They Were Famous, Chris Pine. [ Comments: none ]

Before Chris Pine captained the Starship Enterprise in Star Trek, he was just a drunk teen on ER. How cute was the 22 year old in that 2003 episode.

Some shows were picked up for another season, but more were cancelled.
May 9th, 2013 under American Idol 9+, CBS, Kiefer Sutherland, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Next week the networks will announce their fall lineups, but today they are already saying which shows will be back and which ones won’t. CBS picked up it’s 20th show (which is about as many as NBC cancelled) for next season and that show is Criminal Minds. The CW still feels that Nikita has a fighting chance and The Carrie Diaries is still fashionable for them. NBC voted for another season of Parks and Recreation, but they impeached 1600 Penn, put Up All Night to sleep permanently, decided we don’t want to see any Guys with Kids and finally put Whitney out of our misery. When it comes to Fox, Randy Jackson told E! News that he voted himself off of American Idol after 12 seasons. Fox also decided that Kiefer Sutherland no longer has the Touch for them.
I always hate this time of year, my shows always get the bad news…:(

It’s time again for Wipeout’s Big Balls!!!
May 9th, 2013 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on ABC 24 people will attempt to jump on three very huge red balls to get to other side, but almost all of them will land in the water instead. So that only means one thing, Wipeout is back!
And not only is the show back, so is Jill Wagner as a host. I recently asked her what it’s like to be on the show again and she said, “It’s awesome!” The she added, “Being back on the show is like being home. This is where I think I belong! I get to get up and have fun all day and be around wacky people.” Then laughed when she said, “It’s kind of where I should be, I think?” And we all think that she needs to be back with these wacky people because no one is as good as her when it comes to chatting with the contestants after they run that crazy obstacle course.
This season Wipeout is celebrating its 100th episode in June, and I asked John Henson which challenge was the craziest one of them all. He told me, “A couple of years ago we had the human catapult and I like the way it sounds.” Then he explained, “Maybe we build a catapult and throw some guy over the wall. It seems like such a bad idea that only we could come up with it.” And they came up with some other bad ideas for the show’s 6th season for the contestants to try out. Well bad for them, and very good for us.
Not only will this season be highlighting the 100th episode, they will also have a bunch of themed episodes. They include Family, Hotties VS Nerds 3.0, Newlyweds, Dirty Jobs, Boss & Employee, Blind Date, Beauty Queens, Brains VS Brawn and Exes. I don’t know which one will be the most fun, Exes and Boss & Employee can be really interesting! Especially depending on who wins the $50,000 and who loses their pride.
Because let’s be real some of those challenges will leave you more humiliated then you ever thought you could be. So tune into tonight and every Thursday at 8p to see what other bad ideas they came up with, to literally torture the contestants and cause them lots of pain!

Will Sheldon and Amy finally do The Big Bang Theory?
May 9th, 2013 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory Penny, Amy and Bernadette are going to Vegas and the boys are staying home to play their own type of games that girls wouldn’t want to play. But when something goes wrong at the airport, the women come home to play with their men. Which means no hanky panky, just some Dungeons and Dragons. But that game leads to Amy and Sheldon finally having a moment, but is it that moment? You will have to tune in for this funny episode to find out!
That and to hear one of the cast members do a mean Christopher Walken!

Jimmy Fallon teaches a fan getting what you want, isn’t always a good thing!
May 9th, 2013 under Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday on Late Night, Jimmy Fallon was reading off the requests from the Audience Suggestion Box and he fulfilled one fan’s dream. Dan asked if he could get closeup serenaded by Lady Antebellum, who were guests on the show. What that means is the band will sing just inches away from his face. Quickly Dan learned that some things sound much better on paper as compared to having three people sing right into your ears. I think his eyes were saying Need You Now to go away. Seriously how awesome was expression when he realized what a mistake a made.
Now when it comes to Lady Antebellum, dang they sounded amazing harmonizing to him!
