Tonight’s episode of Glee on Fox at 9p is called Shooting Star and the title reveals what it is about.
While the day starts out normally at McKinley High, something will happen that will change our Glee club forever. You will be left with chills all over your body as you watch what happens. It is so intense and something you have never ever seen on the show. They go to a place you never they could go to and you will be blown away. My hat is off to everyone in the cast and crew for a great 20 minutes of television.
But sadly Glee does a turn that is almost as bad as when One Tree Hill took on the same subject. Both shows handled something so excellently and then just as quickly as you praise them, you are disgusted by what they do next.
I am really conflicted about tonight’s episode. Some of it was their best work yet, but then the rest was their typical stupid over the top sh!t. The episode is part brilliant and part idiotic, and the latter ruins what could’ve earned them more Emmy noms and respect. It’s like the good parts were written by an outside source, but the inside writers couldn’t let their touch not be felt. And because of that I can only say this episode was OK, but I will still tell you to watch for the good parts because they are worth wasting an hour of your life on.
Jason Bateman was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday and the actor was sporting a beard. So the ABC late night host asked him why he was so hairy. Michael Bluth explained to him that he is filming the long awaited sequel to Teen Wolf 2 and it is being shot in 3D. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see that movie that isn’t coming out because he was just teasing us.
Not only did he talk about a film that isn’t in the works, he also shared some stories about how mischievous Ricky Schroder and him were on the set of Silver Spoons. They got into so much trouble that they got a letter from the Universal Studios Lot telling them to behave. And Bateman also revealed something that they did that their co-star Erin Gray didn’t know about until this interview. Schroder and him would go up on rafters and watch Erin Gray changing between scenes. I wonder how she will react when she finds out what they did. I think she will take the silver spoons out of their mouths and put it in one of their orifices.
Who knew he was such a bad boy? Although now that I think about it he does kind of have an evil smile.
While most bands debut their new songs on late night shows, Black Sabbath is doing it on a primetime show. Ozzy Osbourne's band will perform End of the Beginning on the season finale of CSI. According to the press release, "D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) when he and Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann) attend a Black Sabbath show." Could you imagine if a band that hasn't released a studio album in 35 years starts a new trend? Maybe more musicians will follow suit next season. Since MTV doesn't do music anymore, it makes sense that is a great alternative to get their music out there. Especially if they are a band like this one that you could never see on any of those squeaky clean singing competition shows.
