ABC has decided that they will not order any more episodes for 666 Park Avenue and Last Resort. The shows will complete their order run and then they will be done. While the slow moving 666 makes sense that it followed the theme of the show and died, I thought they would keep Last Resort around because the acting is phenomenal. Oh well that means they have 3 hour slots open in the midseason, now that these two shows and Private Practice ended their season run at 13 episodes. It will be interesting to see how they change things up in the New Year.
So with these two shows meeting their demise that leaves only 3 new shows waiting to find out what their future holds, ABC’s Malibu Country which should get the pick up for a full season, Fox’s The Mob Doctor which everyone pretty much knows is swimming with the fishes and The CW’s Emily Owens, MD that is on life support but everyone is expecting the plug to be pulled soon.

Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb and Liza Minnelli were all walking the red carpet at the Scandalous The Musical premiere and someone thought it would be a great photo op for the three ladies to do together. Well I guess since Kris Jenner was there too, I am assuming she decided to weasel her way into picture. I say weaseled herself into the photo because it just doesn’t look like the other three are acknowledging her. But who can blame Liza because afterall Jenner has the same hairdo as her, and it just looks so much better on the Cabaret singer. Seriously I never realized before this picture that Kris looks like Liza, but not as good in my opinion.
The first trailer is out for The Heat and there is no way you could get me to see the cop film with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy when it comes out on April 5th. Did anything in that trailer look remotely funny to you? Didn’t it feel like you have seen it all before? I mean, how many times can McCarthy play the fat angry bitch with no makeup that everyone is afraid of? Seriously has she ever played anything any different since Samantha Who? She needs to branch out and play different type of roles because to me she is just like Jennifer Aniston and Katherine Heigl, you know playing the same part but in a different movie.
Kaley Cuoco’s dream was to be part of a flash mob and that dream was accomplished thanks to the cast and crew of The Big Bang Theory. The routine that was choreographed by her sister Bri, was as much as fun as the CBS comedy. It seriously leaves you in a good mood and that is something we all need the Friday before Thanksgiving! So sit back and watch the cast and crew of TBBT have more fun than the studio audience did at the taping.
CBS has made the mistake of pulling the plug on Partners and I for one am very upset about this. Personally I think if CBS were to cancel any of their comedies it should’ve been Mike & Molly. It is Chuck Lorre’s weakest show on the network now, plus I honestly think it would bomb without a strong lead in. Something it has benefited from since its debut. When it comes to Partners, it never had a chance with the time-to-be-put-out-of-our-misery How I Met Your Mother as its lead. When was the last time that show really made you laugh more than it pissed you off? For me it has been a few years. CBS needs a new comedy to survive because with HIMYM most likely ending this year and who knows what the future holds for Two and a Half Men, what will they do? Recently the network has only been able to launch a successful comedy every two years, so they should’ve kept the show and let it find its audience. I think that it was doing and it really found its niche. Oh well, I guess that leaves room for another NCIS or CSI to air on the network. It’s not like they don’t have enough of those.
Here is what the great cast of Partners Tweeted about the cancellation: Sophia Bush: Sadly, it is so. What a fun run it has been. I love @michaelurie @DaveKrumholtz @BrandonJRouth so much. Our producers. Our crew. Thank u all Dave Krumholtz: Thanks for all the support. Brandon Routh: Well, that’s it folks. Our run of #Partners is over. Thanks so much for your love, support, & dedication 2 our show. Much love from us 2 u.
BTW as a big FU to CBS, I say let’s vote for Partners as Favorite New TV Comedy for The People’s Choice Awards!
