Lots of changes begin on White Collar and Covert Affairs tonight
July 10th, 2012 under USA Network. [ Comments: none ]

White Collar and Covert Affairs are back on USA tonight with their new seasons and there are going to be a lot of changes for both shows.
White Collar is back at 9p, but Neal and Peter are apart. As you remember in the season finale Peter told Neal to run, so he did with Mozzie. Now the two of them are at a remote location and Peter is back in NY. He is OK with that arrangement until someone from DC will do anything to bring Caffrey back dead or alive. Peter realizes he has to find his friend/partner before his DC cohort does. Will he be able to do it or will Neal be on the run with Mozzie for the rest of the season? I can’t tell you that, but what I can tell you is the season arc will be revealed at the end of next week’s thrilling episode.
Now when it comes to Covert Affairs, the note inside the screener said not to reveal any big plot details so there isn’t much I can tell you. What I will tell you without spoiling too much is that there will be explosion and someone we have known since the beginning of the series will die. Do you think you know how it is?
Even though the temperature outside has been reaching record levels, the inside will now be matching that because these two hot show are back on TV.

Eddie Munster and the new Munsters on Mockingbird Lane
July 10th, 2012 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

One of the most anticipated pilots of the season is Bryan Fuller’s Mockingbird Lane, a modern day version of The Munsters; and now we are getting the first pictures of the new Munsters. What is so fitting about these photos of Jerry O’Connell as Herman, Portia de Rossi as Lily and Mason Cook as Eddie, is that they were taken by the original Eddie. That’s right the man in the top two pictures is Butch Patrick who was the first little boy to play with Spot. Now he is all grown up and he got to visit the set before they wrapped production on the NBC pilot.
I respect Fuller for inviting the little Werewolf to his set, but I am not sure I want the show to get picked up after looking at these photos. Hopefully the actors are just in their costumes and either they took their makeup off or they haven’t applied it yet, because without that key factor they just look too normal to me. The Munsters are not supposed to look normal except for Marilyn, they need to look like Frankensteins, Werewolves and/or Vampires. If they are going to look like normal people, then maybe they need to move out of 1313 Mockingbird Lane.

Opening a bottle is too complicated for Aaron Carter
July 10th, 2012 under Backstreet Boys /Aaron Carter. [ Comments: 1 ]

Aaron Carter Tweeted the above photo and said, “I can barely open up this bottle of Japanese soda.. So cool!” I am not sure I would openly admit that something a toddler can do is something that I could not. But then again if he wasn’t smart enough to open a bottle, he probably isn’t smart enough to realize that.

Travis Barker’s Animal influence
July 10th, 2012 under Shanna Moakler. [ Comments: none ]

Most musicians when they are asked who turned them on to music, they will say one of the musical giants did. Well Travis Barker gave The Red Bulletin an answer that no one has ever given, and I wish more would. The Blink 182 drummer said, “I was 4. Animal on ‘The Muppet Show’ started it all for me. I saw him and I was sold. I wanted to be a drummer. Then I saw Alex Van Halen, Tommy Lee, great jazz drummers like Buddy Rich. I saw Buddy Rich battle Animal – crazy stuff. I battled Animal two months ago. I was trippin’.” You might not have pictured his inspiration to come from a kids’ show that we all watched, but he concluded his answer with something I never saw coming when he said, “When this is all said and done, in 10 or 15 years, I would love to play in a big-band jazz band and kick ass. I grew up playing jazz. I was in jazz band my whole life in high school and junior high. They didn’t have Rock Band 101 in school. I can read music, and I played jazz for six, seven years. I’d like to do that again.” I think he will be the first jazz drummer to be inked from head to toe and you know what if anyone can make it work, It’s him.
There are so many interesting things in the article like how his plane crash changed the way he tours, that you will want to pick up the magazine on Friday and read all about it. I know I was blown away by how candid he was with the magazine.

This girl taking a lie detector test is awwwdorable and it’s the truth
July 10th, 2012 under Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Jimmy Kimmel started a new segment a few weeks ago where he straps a fake lie detector on kids and gets them admit things they normally wouldn’t tell anyone including their parents. Up until yesterday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live he only had boys to the test, but last night he had his first girl tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Let’s just say not only did Joelle win the ABC late host’s heart, she also won ours. Seriously how cute is the kindergartener talking about the boys she has crushes on and the one that like her? Listening to the little girl talk about love reminded me just how innocent it can be.
Seriously these bits are so precious that I hope the show makes them a weekly segment like This Week in Unnecessarily Censorship.
