Mackenzie Astin Tweeted that he answered the Call of the Wild, “This is what happens when you fall in love and stick the landing….11 April 11 – Ellicott City, Maryland”. His wife Jennifer Bautz also Tweeted a little more information, “is married to @MackenzieAstin as of 11:00am today.” So in other words they were married 4/11/11 at 11, that has to be really lucky for two the of them!
No word if The Facts of Life’s stars parents Patty Duke and John Astin, and his brother Sean Astin were there, but the one thing we know is they make a beautiful couple!
Now back to the couple, I hope their marriage doesn’t go to the Garbage Pail Kids and they live happily ever after!
BTW Mackenzie Astin doesn’t have time for a honeymoon just yet because he is starring in Caught here in LA until May 15th! I think I am going to have to catch it!!!
Before Ray Romano’s family life was the basis for his show Everybody’s Love Raymond, they were a big part of his jokes at Caroline’s on Broadway. How funny was the 34 year old actor doing stand up in 1992.
There were rumors that ABC was going to cancel both All My Children and One Life to Live and today they sadly cancelled both of them. Instead the network is replacing them with two shows about food that I will purposely boycott because they cancelled the two daytime dramas for them. All My Children will become none in September and One Life to Live will die in January.
In the last few years we lost Passions, Guiding Light and As the World Turns. Not only did the soap world go from 9 to 4, with the loss of OLTL that means there are no longer any soaps taping in NYC. And that is just so f*cking sad. So many people are out of work because of all of these cancellations. And it really hurts the NY entertainment business.
Seriously I am so upset over the news, I can’t even think what to write but to say that ABC made a huge f*cking mistake. Nothing that has replaced a soap has been for the better and I don’t think the two new shows will be any better than the sh!t that is already out there that replaced the soaps.
Here is the BS that the President of ABC Daytime said about the cancellations, “‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ are iconic pieces of television that have made an indelible mark on our culture’s history. Each of the shows has touched millions and millions of viewers and informed the social consciousness. It has been a privilege to work with the extraordinary teams who brought the residents of Pine Valley and Llanview to life each day, and we thank the cast, crew, producers and most especially the fans for their commitment to the shows through their history.†Yeah and now you have to shows that will be lucky to make it to a second season, unlike the two shows they cancelled that have lasted for over 40 years. F*cking sad.
So if you are soap fan, please watch the four remaining ones (Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless and The Bold & the Beautiful) so that 4 doesn’t go to zero anytime soon.
Here are Twitter responses from several actors” Susan Lucci from AMC: It saddens me that All My Children is canceled. I’ve loved playing Erica Kane and working with Agnes Nixon & the incredible people at AMC. Ricky Paul Goldin from AMC: With the news that came today I have had an incredible outpouring of support and heard and read the voices of thousands supporting One Life To Live & All My Children’s artistic journey. Although the news comes as a mighty surprise, it is not myself I am thinking about at this time but rather the rest of the cast, crew and their families. I am not angry. I am only grateful and I will miss my All My Children family when we go our separate ways in August. I love you all dearly. Ricky. Nancy Lee Grahn from GH: “holy shit” Kelly Ripa formerly from AMC: Sad day:( Alison Sweeney from DOOL: Heartbreaking. Nathan Fillion – A moment of silence for a disappearing genre. OLTL & AMC, we’ll miss your hard work and talent. Eric Martsolf from DOOL and Passions – AMC & OLTL. I don’t get it. Ticked off. Tyler Christopher recently fired from GH: My opinion of oltl and amc being canceled is…ABC farted then panicked when a little poop came out Bradford Anderson from GH: So sad our daytime family is getting smaller. It sucks. Just plain sucks. Brandon Beemer from B&B: Days of our LIves, GH, Y&R & B&B fans must keep tuning in through thick & thin! We can’t lose any more of our beloved soaps. Kyle Lowder from B&B: This is a dark day for a beautiful and essential genre brought to life by some of the hardest working and most talented artists in the biz. My heart goes out to all those associated with AMC and OLTL, from the loyal fans to the brilliant artists behind and in front of the cameras. To the fans of DAYS, GH, B&B, and Y&R, rally together and support your respective shows in any way that you can. This genre is too special. Greg Rikaart from Y&R: 2 soaps gone. Talented peeps lost gigs, but the douchebags of Jersey Shore have job security. WTF is wrong with society’s viewing habits? Jennifer Finnegan formerly from B&B: So sad to hear about OLTL and All My Chirldren being taken off the air after 20+yrs. So many lost jobs. TV is changing so much, it’s scary. Kelly Monaco from GH: sad to hear about the cancellations of AMC and OLTL. Hopefully we can fight a good fight and make the remaining daytime dramas must watch TV! Michael Sabatino from AMC, GL, Passions and DOOL: Sad Day In Time. Blessings to All the Players, Writers, Crew and Creators of AMC and OLTL. Steve Burton from GH: Wow. So sad our daytime family is getting smaller. Hang in there all!! You know we appreciate you.
Tonight on NBC at 830p The Paul Reiser Show is going to debut and if you miss Mad About You, you are going to love this show. It has the feel of his other NBC sitcom, but in this new one there is no Helen Hunt. Instead he is married with two kids and the show revolves around his life since the show and now he is father with friends that are not in the business. He hangs with four other fathers who are friends with his kids and we get to see him how is life is different with them. And since it has been 12 years since Mad About You went off the air, he has decided he is thinking of getting back in the biz and it isn’t going as smoothly as he thought and he handles it in a way only Reiser can.
So if you are missing the ’90s sitcoms from NBC, The Paul Reiser Show will fill that vacancy so watch it tonight and every Thursday on NBC!
The writers of Funny Or Die were all happy that beat Weird Al Yankovic to 2,000,000 followers on Twitter that they decided to get shirts made that said “We Beat Him” with his picture on them and they threw a party to celebrate the milestone. Only thing they didn’t plan on is how Weird Al would feel about get beaten and let’s just say he doesn’t like it.
He might’ve voted for the word Die, but I vote for the word Funny because that had me laughing out loud!!! Long live Weird Al who has also reached the milestone of 2,000,000 followers on Twitter!!!
