Goldie Hawn was at the Elle Women in Hollywood dinner yesterday, and she told Marc Malkin how her daughter Kate Hudson got her name. Private Benjamin went public with the story how she had one name picked out for her but when she was 8 months pregnant and driving on the 405 she had changed her mind, and here’s why, ” “I was going to name her Rebecca because it was biblical and romantic and genteel and then all of a sudden, she punched me so hard in my you know where—truly where the sun doesn’t shine. I said, ‘Oh, my God! This is a Kate. This isn’t a Rebecca. This is a Kate!'” I am not sure how she came up with Kate, maybe it is kick plus vajayjay? Good thing she kicked her mom down there because could you imagine the Almost Famous star being famous as a Becky?
Before all the guys wanted her in The Truth About Cats and Dogs, she only wanted one guy in Johnny Be Good. She looks exactly the same now as she did when she was 18 in that 1988 movie, but her hair is lighter now.
Jean Claude Van Damme got a crappy birthday present from his body for his 50th birthday. The day after he hit the half century mark he reportedly had a minor heart attack while filming Weapon in New Orleans according to news.coma.au. Muscles From Brussels is said to have collapsed on the set, and is now home in Belgium recuperating with his wife. One report is saying production was halted on the film, but another said it is all but done and they just need close ups of the action star.
Hopefully he will be better soon. We all know he is a fighter so I am sure that is helping his odds for a full recovery.

JCVD is in better shape than ever and preparing for his fight in July. He did not suffer from a heart attack on the set of Weapon as reported on some websites!
Last week on Dancing with the Stars Florence Henderson did a sexy Rumba with Corky Ballas that kind of grossed me out, but that was nothing compared to what she did yesterday. The Brady Bunch mom had to dance to theme of the show that made her forever famous and she called an old friend from the show to visit her. That old friend was Barry Williams who played her son Greg on the show and admitted he had a crush on his TV step mom back in the day. In fact he claims they went on a date when he was 15 and she was 35, although she says she didn’t know it was a date at the time even though she has reportedly added she did give him a little kiss. Well fast forward to the present and the two shared another kiss during a rehearsal and she said her two favorite men were with her. In fact Barry made a joke and said that Corky is younger than Bobby. Factoid yes Michale Lookingland is older, but only by six days.
I don’t know what Carol Brady is trying to prove on DWTS, but the only thing she is proving to me is that she is creeps me out. Please stop trying so hard because it isn’t working.
On a positive note, I do have to give them a hats off for dancing an Argentine Tango to The Brady Bunch theme because that is not easy to do.
Side note and question, why didn’t Brandy dance to the Moesha theme like Florence danced to hers as did Audrina Patridge? I don’t think that is fair because the Friends theme seemed to give her an advantage?
Yesterday NBC picked up The Event, Outsourced and Law & Order: Los Angeles aka LOLA for a full season and today they are doing the same with Chuck and Chase. New show Chase got the bottom 9 pick up, while they are asking for 11 more episodes from fan favorite Chuck bringing their 4th season total to 24 episodes. I have to admit that I find it surprising that Chase is chasing a full season because it doesn’t seem to be to doing that well in the ratings, but I guess it was good enough for NBC. Now when it comes to Chuck I am so happy that the show that was saved by fans is getting the love it deserves from its network. Here is what show creator Josh Schwartz Tweeted about the news, “Back 11! 24 Chucks coming at ya this year. Thanks to the greatest fans in the world!” It is easy to be a fan because you came up with such a fun and original show!
The only new scripted show not get a pick up as of now is J.J. Abrams Undercovers.
