In Plain Sight is back on USA tonight at 10p and it is an action packed episode and I am sure the season will be equally as exciting! The show picks up a few weeks after the season finale and we find out what happened to Mary and the people in her life while they waited for her to recover. Is Mary OK and what long term effects will she suffer from the shooting? Marshall has been trying to find the guy who shot her, will he find him and what will he do to him if he finds him? Did Mary’s family survive without her and what did they do to her house while she was gone? These questions will be answered, plus Marshall and Mary try to protect Donnie Wahlberg and his family who are not doing to well in witness protection. The NKOTB singer does a great job in this episode and whenever I see him act, I wonder if he chose the wrong career path.
In Plain Sight is one of the few original shows on TV plus the cast have great chemistry together, so whether you have been watching since day one or tonight will be your first episode, check it out tonight and every Wednesday at 10p on USA. I promise you will love this show as much as I do!
Yesterday after Did Benami butchered What Becomes of the Broken Hearted on American Idol, Simon seemed to compare her performance to the singers on a competing network’s reality show. The King of Mean said, “If you listen to one of those dancing shows, they have the singers,, you know, murdering a song on it…If you ever watch it. That’s what it kind of (sounds like.)” As Simon was being interrupted by Randy Jackson he had the biggest mischievous smile on his face, so he totally knew what he was doing and was waiting for the opportunity to use the comparison. So I wonder was he referring to Dancing with the Stars or could it be another show he was talking about? He probably isn’t referring to Randy Jackson’s show on MTV America’s Best Dance Crew because they use recorded tracks. So if it is DWTS, I think he was so right. Every Monday night I wonder what songs Harold Wheeler and the DWTS band will destroy and then every Tuesday night I wonder what songs the American Idol singers will destroy. It is like every Monday and Tuesday is like a line from the Don McLean song American Pie…”The day the music died.” Instead of the meaning behind McLean’s version of the deaths of three rock’n’roll legends in a plane crash, it is the music being killed off song by song by bad singers and horrible arrangements on both shows.
If I had to chose which show was worse then I think Dancing with the Stars is worse because they have never ever made a song better, some American Idol contestants have reworked a song to make it better than the original. Not that often, but there have been a few times that has happened.
It has been 30 years since Goldie Hawn suited up as Private Benjamin and now Anna Faris will be doing the same. The Scary Movie star will be taking over the ranks in the latest movie to be destroyed, I mean remade by New Line. According to the Risky Business, “The new take will set the story in contemporary times with modern wars as the backdrop. Insiders say the studio doesn’t want to poke fun at the men and women in the service or take political potshots, but rather focus on the empowerment elements and build on the fish-out-of-water comedy.” Even though they are keeping the feeling of the original I don’t think they need to redo it. Even though Anna Faris does have a Goldie Hawn feel about her, she doesn’t need to do one of the roles that made Hawn an icon.
I have given up asking Hollywood to stop making remakes and try making original films instead, so I ask you film goers to stop seeing them because money talks!
I love conspiracy theories, so here is the one I am curious about now…I wonder if Shannen Doherty was truly the one who was voted off of Dancing with the Stars yesterday? I say that because after it was announced that she was eliminated on the show, we found out that her partner Mark Ballas was going to have to drop out of the competition due to an injury he suffered during Monday’s dress rehearsal. So I wonder of the producers thought it would be easier to just get rid of Shannen than to find another professional to replace Mark? Since it was the first week, it was not like you could use a recently eliminated professional to step in for him. Even though Jonathan Roberts (who is not on the show this season) says he will be attending every show on his Twitter account and could easily step in. Seriously how could Niecy Nash have more votes than Beverly Hills bad girl?
So do you think I have a good conspiracy theory here???
BTW Shannen Doherty refused to do Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday after she was eliminated. I wonder if she choose not to do his show to avoid what happened to Melissa Joan Hart when she appeared on the show after she was eliminated from the ABC dancing show. Shannen is only the second star to refuse to go to the show after she was eliminated, the only other one was Heather Mills who said she had to return to England after she was voted off and didn’t have time to do him. Macy Gray who was last season’s first eliminated also didn’t do the show, but she went to the studios and then decided she was too upset to do the interview.
