Is Ellen DeGeneres changing her tune about American Idol?

The first episode of Ellen Degeneres as a Judge on American Idol hasn’t even aired and there are already rumors that she is looking for a way out after this season. According to Gossip Cop Ellen didn’t realize the time commitment she needed to make to do the show and they says she is not sure she wants to make it. They also said that she doesn’t want to stay on the show without Simon Cowell, who is rumored to be leaving at the end of the season. Fox was reportedly very close to ordering a few more years of Idol without Simon, but will they still be singing the same tune without their next biggest name Ellen as a Judge? Would you watch it if Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson were the only 2 Judges left on the show?
Now back to Ellen how could she not realize it would be such a time commitment? It is the biggest show on American television, how could she think that they wouldn’t need her for hours before the live shows and on off days? I have a feeling we will be back down to 3 Judges for American Idol 10 and two of them will not be named Ellen or Simon.

CBS changes things up
January 7th, 2010 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

CBS announced today that it was reworking its schedule starting in March. Rules of Engagement (the new Yes, Dear) will be back for its fourth season on Monday, March 1st replacing Accidentally on Purpose. On March 31st, Accidentally on Purpose will take over Gary Unmarried’s Wednesdays at 8:30p timeslot because the show will have finished its season the week beforehand. Which means the chances of Gary Unmarried getting a third season are not looking good because it is rare that a show that ends before May sweeps will be back in September. Another show whose future looks dim is Numb3rs who had their season order cut and that show will be replaced by Miami Medical on April 2nd. I saw the first two episodes of that show and I think that CBS would be better off airing Three Rivers on Fridays at 10p over Miami Medical because it is a much better show.

Neil Patrick Harris reveals a People Choice Awards’ secret
January 7th, 2010 under Jimmy Kimmel, Neil Patrick Harris. [ Comments: none ]

People’s Choice Awards’ nominee Neil Patrick Harris was taping Jimmy Kimmel Live! (shhh the show isn’t live when it airs on ABC at 12:06a) at the same time that the awards show was on. So Jimmy asked the How I Met Your Mother star why he was at his show and not at the PCAs and he told him he wasn’t invited. He added that if you look out in the audience you mostly only see the winners are there and not the losers because they are not good enough (my words not his) to go the show. Personally I like when all the noms are there, but that could just be me.
Since I have been living in Hollywood for so long, I have known this secret for a while. Now that you know it, how does that make you feel about the People’s Choice Awards?

Who dressed Katie Cassidy for the People’s Choice Awards
January 7th, 2010 under Beverly Hills 90210 / Melrose Place. [ Comments: 3 ]

Katie Cassidy went the People’s Choice Awards dressed more like a Swiss Miss than the star of Melrose Place. What is up that dress? It is not flattering to her figure and I just don’s get that black fringe stuff. Now when it comes to her hair that is a cold mess. If you are going to do that to your hair at least brush it and make the braid neat. The braid was so straggly it makes her hair look really thin and dead.
Katie Cassidy is a beautiful girl, but most of the time that she walks the red carpet she dresses like someone twice her age. I just don’t get it. She should be one of the best dressed and not the worst. In my opinion she earned the title of worst dressed at the People’s Choice Awards yesterday.

David Hasselhoff no longer Got Talent
January 7th, 2010 under America's Got Talent, David Hasselhoff/Baywatch. [ Comments: none ]

After 4 years of being a judge on America’s Got Talent, David Hasselhoff has announced he will be H-off of the show’s 5th season. The Hoff told People, “I am proud that I was part of making America’s Got Talent the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers. It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly.” I really hope that his show isn’t a Vareity show of him singing every week, what did we do to deserve that?
David is not the first person to have quit the show, Brandi left after being a judge for the first season and she was replaced by Sharon Osbourne and Regis Philbin also quit being the host that season and he was replaced by Jerry Springer who left the show after 2 seasons and he was replaced by Nick Cannon last year. NBC has not announced who will replace The Hoff, but I am really hoping they get Paula Abdul. Afterall what is she doing now? That and they need an American on the panel because otherwise they are left with two Brits and the show is called “America’s” Got Talent. Piers Morgan is the only person who has been with the show all 5 seasons, what does that say about him?
