Quentin Tarantino goes commercial
November 11th, 2009 under Eli Roth, Quentin Tarantino. [ Comments: none ]

Following the footsteps of his Inglourious Basterd Brad Pitt, Quentin Tarantino is a doing a commercial for Japan’s Softbank in Japanese. The Oscar winning director is playing Uncle Tara-chan in the White Family commercials for mobile carrier according to Heat Vision. Brad Pitt and QT were in Japan to promote Inglourious Basterds that opens on November 20th, the same day the commercials will start airing there, and that is when he filmed the ad. Is it just me or does Quentin look like he is having a blast going in front of the camera? He looks like a kid in candy store as he wears his black kimono speaking Japanese. You can tell he is enjoying every second of it!
Talking about director’s going in front of the camera, Eli Roth told Marc Malkin that Brad Pitt and him can’t wait to do a prequel for Inglourious Basterds. They are just waiting for Japan’s latest commercial star to finish writing it.

“Everybody would drop whatever they’re doing to go back to work with Quentin,” Pitt’s Basterds costar Eli Roth told us at the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards presented by Movieline.com in Hollywood. “All the time, Brad says, ‘Prequel, prequel!’ All the ‘basterds’ would jump on it in a second.”
All that’s left is the green light from Tarantino. “He has most of it written, so now it’s just a matter of figuring the whole thing out,” Roth said. “Quentin’s standards are so high that he won’t do it unless he feels like he can do it better than the first one.”

Eli added that scenes he did with Cloris Leachman, that didn’t make the first movie would be in the prequel if it gets made. Let’s hope QT gets his writing on and finishes the script soon because I can’t wait for a IB prequel!!!
But before we get a IB prequel, Dread Central posted the first pictures from Cotton that was produced by Eli Roth. Cotton is the story of an evangelical minister who documents his last exorcism. From that picture below it looks the must see movie with someone else!

And the second cancelled show for the fall season is…
November 11th, 2009 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

ABC has cancelled Hank and they will not be airing any more episodes according to The Live Feed. Believe it or not this is only the second show to be cancelled this season, the only other one to bite the dust was The CW’s The Beautiful Life. Although NBC’s Trauma and ABC’s Eastwick did not get any additional episodes ordered, their networks are still airing all of 13 episodes that they ordered. The only shows still waiting to hear if they will get any additional episodes ordered at Fox’s Brothers and CBS’s Three Rivers and I am really hoping both get more episodes because I love them both.
Now back to Hank, this is Kelsey Grammer’s second consecutive failure. His last show Back to You did not come back to Fox. BTW did anyone watch Hank? I never got Kelsey Grammer, so I never watched it, and since it got cancelled I guess I am not the only one.

UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter says that Fox will not order any more episodes of Dollhouse. But before all you Dollhouse fans freak out too much, they will air all 13 episodes and Joss Whedon promised it would be a satisfying end for y’all!!!

Glee gets the Wheels spinning tonight!
November 11th, 2009 under Glee. [ Comments: none ]

There is so much to say about tonight’s Glee on Fox at 9p, but the first thing I will say about it is that it is a truly wonderful episode that will leave you feeling really good!!! Tonight’s episode has so much heart, that it will break your heart and then be fill it with warmth. You are going to see a whole new side to some of the characters on the show and you will never be able to look at them the same way! And most importantly the music is really good tonight, they sing Billy Idol’s Dancing with Myself, Wicked’s Defying Gravity and Ike and Tina Turner’s Proud Mary!
Tonight’s episode deals with the Glee club members learning what Artie goes through by being confined to his Wheels and it is was really well written and handled with care. But that is not the only touching story on tonight’s episode, Kurt and his dad have some beyond touching scenes together that will have you screaming for Mike O’Malley to get an Emmy for his performance. But the one story you won’t see coming is the one with Sue Sylvester and you will see her in a completely different light. As touching as tonight’s episode is, it will not make you cry, but believe me it will touch all of your heartstrings.
Part of the reason why I am so vague on this review because it really is an episode you need to experience because it is just that awesome! This is what TV should be. So if you have never seen Glee before tonight on Fox at 9p, tonight’s is really good one to start with it. If you have seen this show before, tonight will confirm why you have been watching it all along. I hope the other networks are watching Glee and looking to copy its model for next year because we need more shows like it on TV!!!

Jon Gosselin makes a funny
November 11th, 2009 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+. [ Comments: none ]

Jon Gosselin did a video for Funny or Die where he makes fun of what a douche he has become and I have to admit it is funny. I wonder if he will watch this video and really turn back time and go away. Seriously would anyone miss him if he went home and became a father to his 8 kids instead of being on TV all the time? I know I wouldn’t miss him.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry will continue to Walk This Way!
November 11th, 2009 under Aerosmith. [ Comments: none ]

via NME
Joe Perry was performing a solo show in NYC when Steven Tyler joined him on stage to let him know he isn’t leaving Aerosmith! Tyler said, “I just want New York, New York I want you to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith. And Joe Perry, you are a man of many colors but I, motherf*cker, am the rainbow!” And then the two performed Walk This Way for the crowd!
Now that we have heard that he is not leaving from his mouth, I feel much better about the future of Aerosmith! But I have to admit Joe Perry’s people did a good job to promote his solo project, but it was at cost of Aerosmith fans.
