Farrah Fawcett got an unbeatable gift for her 60th birthday: a clean bill of health. The actress, who revealed in October that she was fighting cancer, learned this week that she is cancer-free, spokesman Mike Pingel said Friday. Dr. Gary Gitnick, Fawcett’s lead physician at the University of California, Los Angeles, said the actress "has had a full and complete response to treatment." "Her prognosis is excellent," he said. The former "Charlie’s Angel" star said she was "deeply grateful" to her doctors and her family and friends "who have sustained me as I battled this terrible disease." "This is an extraordinarily happy day for me and my family," she said in a statement. "I hope that my news might offer some level of inspiration to others who unfortunately must continue to fight the disease." Fawcett planned to celebrate her birthday Friday with family and friends, Pingel said, and expects to return to work "in the next month or two." Fawcett did not disclose the type of cancer she was treated for. Her ex, Ryan O’Neal, told People Magazine she was being treated for anal cancer.
That is good news! She will be well enough to do some more loopy appearances soon! And you know that Ryan O’Neal and her are going to get married and adopt a baby!
A little birdie with ties to the soon-to-conclude sitcom tells me that Adam Sandler taped a guest appearance last night for an episode slated to air in April. The erstwhile Billy Madison plays a goofy high-school chum of Kevin James’. The two reconnect at their class reunion, but there’s a twist: Sandler’s character, the ex-class clown, is now the school’s vice principal! How’d producers pull off such a casting coup? Reps for the show declined to comment, but it’s a safe bet that Sandler did it as a favor to James, his costar in the upcoming gay-buddy comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Just a hunch. Queens, meanwhile, returns to CBS’ sked Apr. 9 with the first of the series’ seven final episodes.

TV Guide is reporting who is coming and who is going on Days of our Lives. Matthew Ashford, who was doing an interview with the Bradenton Herald in Florida about his upcoming movie The Unlikelys, prematurely admitted that he just signed on to play Jack Deveraux again. It will be interesting to see what they are going to do with his character now that Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) is living in Tennessee. I am not sure I can handle him with another woman because Jack and Jennifer are one of those great Soap supercouples. But I am glad that Stephen Nichols (Patch) and him will get to do a few more scenes together! On March 1st Days will be saying goodbye to two longtime actresses Farah Fath and Judi Evans. Farah has been blogging on her site it was time to move on and I hope she finds the career she is looking for. Judi Evans told TV Guide that she is ok with departure because of the budgets cuts that NBC implemented on the show. She might be ok with it, but I am not. I am slowly preparing myself for the possible end of Days of our Lives in two years. Hopefully NBC will get a new head of entertainment who will keep Days of our Lives and not just the shows he likes that nobosy else is watching.
