Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock have decided to end their four month marriage, Anderson’s rep has confirmed to Us. The papers, which were filed by Anderson, 39, cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. The former Baywatch actress has hired famed celebrity divorce lawyer Neal Hersh, whose clients include Kim Basinger, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore and Denise Richards. Anderson and Rock held a much-publicized marriage "celebration ceremony" aboard a yacht in St. Tropez July 29, but formalized their wedding when they returned to Los Angeles in more private ceremony at the Beverly Hills Courthouse. They also married later in Nashville as well as Rock’s hometown of Detroit, however, official court documents state the date of marriage is August 3, 2006, and list date of separation as November 21, 2006. Earlier this month, Anderson miscarried what would have been her and Rock’s first child together. On November 10, Anderson’s rep, Tracy Nguyen, asked that “Pamela’s privacy be respected at this time.” From 1995 to 1998, Anderson was married to rocker Tommy Lee, with whom she had two boys, Dylan, 8, and Brandon, 10. It was Rock’s first marriage.

Wow, I am shocked that they are getting divorced…but then again I was shocked they got married out of the blue! And isn’t interesting she is using the same divorce lawyer as her co-star Denise Richards.

Ken Paves costing Jessica Simpson jobs? |

JESSICA Simpson could have been the face of Miu Miu instead of Lindsay Lohan, if it hadn’t been for her slavish devotion to her hairdresser, Ken Paves. Insiders say Simpson was on a short list of celebs Miu Miu had in mind for its next ad campaign being shot by famed fotogs Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. But when the snappers learned Simpson was on the list, they nixed her. "They felt snubbed by Jessica because they were set to do her Vanity Fair shoot several months ago," says an insider. "Being the professionals they are, they wanted to bring in their own hair and makeup team, but Jessica said if they didn’t use Ken, then she wasn’t sitting for the shoot." The shoot and cover story for Vanity Fair were canceled amid false rumors that editors spiked them because Simpson refused to dish on her failed marriage to Nick Lachey. Our source insists it was the hair issues that ruined the spread: "Most fashion photographers use their own people – and they certainly don’t use Ken Paves, who is considered tacky and amateurish for high-fashion shoots. He’s very ‘Texas pageant hair.’ " A rep for Simpson said, "She could not have done the campaign anyway because she has her own clothing and shoe line."

I love how they describe the way he does hair…very Texas pageant hair!

The Pope turns down premiere invite because of its pregnant 16 year old actress? |

Keisha Castle-Hughes, the teenage star of film The Nativity Story, has missed its Vatican premiere because she is expecting a baby with her 19-year-old partner. On Friday Pope Benedict XVI turned down an invitation to attend the screening, reportedly because he was embarrassed the unmarried 16-year-old actress is expecting a child out of wedlock. The premiere of "The Nativity Story" was held yesterday – without Castle-Hughes – in the Vatican’s Pope Paul VI Hall, which is used for Sunday masses when they’re not held outside in St Peter’s Square. The actress, who scored an Oscar nomination for her role in 2002 film Whale Rider, plays Mary in the film.

She is way too young to be a mom something she will realize way too late.

Taylor Hicks slams American Idol |
| November 27th, 2006 under American Idol 1-5. [ Comments: none ]

Despite the moans of "What is Relix doing covering the winner from American Idol" – a show many probably find to be the antithesis of what this publication is all about – it should be known that Taylor Hicks is one of our own. Whether it was picking up the harmonica at 15, seeing Widespread Panis and Phish in the mid ’90s, promotion his own Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Derek Trucks shows or opening for Robert Randolph, Hicks has stepped himself in the live music tradition. In fact, he credits much of it for his win. We caught up with People magazine’s Bachelor of the Year as he was preparing to go onstage last month as the American Idol tour rolled through Colorado.
You’ve said, “Having a number-one single is only the beginning.” How so? What steps are you taking to insure your longevity as an artist in a climate where someone catapulted into pop culture like yourself can come and go so quickly? That single, “Do I Make You Proud,” I tried to make that single my own single but in reality it’s the show’s single. It’s not mine. The song that was given to me first, I got up from a chair and walked right outof the studio. I was handed this song and I was just like, “No way, you’re not going to make me sing this song. I’m out of here.” The beginning for me on a national level was American Idol, but obviously I’ve been trying to play as much live music as I could since I was about 15.
Prior to last season and this most recent one, I never really watched American Idol. But in all honesty, you and Bo Bice turned my head a little bit with your musical selections.
You know what? I don’t watch it either! [laughs] You can write that.
The audiences you’re performing for now are probably quite a bit different than the ones you were performing for just a year ago. American Idol, for me, is fizzling out. I want to take that opportunity and exposure: you either come to see me, buy my album or you don’t. I’m not trying to meet expectations. If you can say you’re a working musician, then you’re doing something good. I’m just glad to be a working musician because that’s what I’ve always been.
Relix
I never got the whole Taylor Hicks thing to me looks like he is 50 and he dances like a schmuck and his singing is average. I just hope comments like this that make him the poorest selling Idol ever and he goes off to has-been land. Obviously his album is not that good if they pushed it back a week?
