THE dynamics of Streisand’s upcoming bye-bye, ta-ta, latest, newest, most recent, final forever farewell this year tour:
Il Divo opens for 10 songs. La Diva Herself then comes on to do 12 songs. Then eight songs together. One duet will be, again, the old "Somewhere," which she somehow gave to mankind in her 2000 after-this-I’m-outta-here-for-good-and-always tour as well as her 1994 this-is-the-last-time-you’ll-ever-have-a-chance-to-pay-this-extravagant-price-per-ticket-to-see-me-in-the-flesh tour. Figures "Somewhere" is the theme for where she’ll work on her next into-the-sunset schlep.
After I announced she’s charging $750 a ticket, this gimme-the-money operation then quickly announced that it’s for a charity deal. Now trickling out is that the donation might get phrased as "designated proceeds" – whatever that means. Benefit-type events usually mention how much is tax-deductible. Can she be copping the tax credit when she donates "designated proceeds"? Can those millions she’ll make off this latest in her serial farewell tours slide through the taxman without her personally paying big-time?
By the way, souvenirs she’ll hawk this time around include leftovers from the previous farewell tours. They’ll be labeled "vintage collectibles."
By the way No. 2: Those $750 tickets are not the Triple-A Superbest. Seats for $1,000 and up include – ready? – a $40 souvenir program.
People who love people are not necessarily the people who brainstormed this tour.

Shannen Doherty filling on The View |

Shannen Doherty will be among the co-hosts filling the chair vacated by Star Jones on "The View" until the show goes on hiatus August 4.
Doherty is scheduled to co-host July 31 and Aug. 1. At this point, "The View" has booked "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba (July 10), "General Hospital" co-star Kelly Monaco (July 11) and "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee (July 19). Insiders say these summer subs aren’t auditioning for a full-time gig on the show; that will kick off after Rosie O’Donnell debuts as "View" co-host Sept. 5 and other guest co-hosts are brought in. That’s not to say, however, that one of these summer subs won’t be asked back if she makes a good impression.

Three months after her birth, Baby Suri, is still unseen, even by the family’s closest friends. A source says Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have yet to show her off to fellow Scientologists John Travolta, Kelly Preston and Lisa Marie Presley. Even good pals Will and Jada Pinkett Smith supposedly have not met her, despite repeated calls to Cruise. “Every time, it’s a different excuse: He’s busy or Kate’s not feeling well,” says a source. ‘[The Smiths] think it’s so weird.”
Soon after the baby was born, photo agency WireImage approached multiple outlets (including Us) with the news that it would be offering pictures of Suri for auction. Days later, on May 11, before official bidding was even underway, the agency sent out an e-mail declaring that “the baby shoot is on hold for now. There is no additional info as to when this may happen or if it will even happen at all.”

Publicly, Jennifer Aniston, 37, and Vince Vaughn, 36, have kept mum on their relationship. But during a recent weeklong Mexican getaway, the couple couldn’t keep quiet anymore: “We’re getting married,” Jen told a friend, a source says. The big news capped off an otherwise calm, romantic trip. The duo divvied up their week between Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis’ Puerto Vallarta property and Cabo San Lucas, where they holed up in a $5000-a-night, five-bedroom suite at the Villas Del Mar at Palmilla.
“They didn’t leave the resort too often,” says an employee. “She was a very quiet guest.” To celebrate their last night in Mexico June 2, they ordered in appetizers from local Mi Casa restaurant. “They seemed in love,” says a Cabo San Lucas hotel employee.
Upon their return to the States, Vaugh jetted to Carthage, South Dakota, to film Into the Wild. Meanwhile, Aniston hung out with friends, meeting up with pals to down fresh peach Bellinis at West Hollywood’s Il Sole June 29. But the time apart won’t quell their love.
“They’re good for each other,” says a source. “He makes her laugh.” Friend Courteney Cox agrees. “They have fun, I’ll say that much,” she says in the August issue of Marie Claire. “They spend a lot of time laughing.”

Former DEAD OR ALIVE frontman PETE BURNS has been banned from central London after he was bailed on charges of harassing ex-lover JASON PETERS at the capital’s Southwark Crown Court yesterday (05JUL06). The outspoken star of British reality TV series CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER was ordered to honour a 10pm to 6am curfew until his trial later this year (SEP06). He must also wear an electronic tag. The YOU SPIN ME ROUND singer needs to organise a pre-arranged appointment if he wishes to enter the congestion charge zone of central London. Burns, 46, denies putting a person in fear.
