"The Class" Moving to 8:00 PM "How I Met Your Mother" Retains Its 8:30 PM Time Period CBS is flipping its previously announced Monday time periods for the freshman comedy THE CLASS and sophomore comedy HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. THE CLASS will now lead off CBS’s Monday comedy block (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) while HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER will return for its second season in its current Monday (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) time period.

"The Insider"’s MARC MALKIN breaks news that former supermodel CHRISTIE BRINKLEY is splitting from her husband of nearly 10 years, architect PETER COOK.
Brinkley’s spokesperson, ELLIOT MINTZ, confirms the news: "Yes, it’s true. The couple has separated. Christie’s primary interest at this difficult time is for the protection of her children and [she] would be most appreciative if people would be good enough to respect her privacy."
The couple have an 8-year-old daughter, SAILOR LEE. Brinkley has two other children from her previous marriages.The 52-year-old beauty, who played the comely blonde in the ’80s comedy ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ with CHEVY CHASE, has been married three other times, most notably to "Piano Man" BILLY JOEL, who penned his hit "Uptown Girl" song for her.

Prince’s official Web site, NPGMusicClub.com, closed suddenly last week with no advanced notice. The club simply sent around an email that said, in part, they decided to "put the club on hiatus until further notice."The announcement went on to say, "In its current [form] there is a feeling that the NPGMC gone as far as it can go." It ended, "The future holds nothing but endless opportunity and we plan on seizing it wholeheartedly. Don’t u want 2 come?"In a possibly related story, Prince filed for a trademark on the mark "NPG Music Club" last year. An opposition was filed against that claim by HM Publishers Holding Limited, which owns the Nature Publishing Group, or NPG. The opposition was filed on the same day that NPGMusicClub.com was put on "hiatus."

Online teen hangout MySpace.com ranked as the No. 1 U.S. Web site last week, displacing Yahoo Inc.’s top-rated e-mail gateway and Google Inc.’s search site, Internet tracking firm Hitwise said on Tuesday.News Corp.’s MySpace accounted for 4.46 percent of all U.S. Internet visits for the week ending July 8, pushing it past Yahoo Mail for the first time and outpacing the home pages for Yahoo, Google and Microsoft’s MSN Hotmail.Hitwise does not provide figures for the number of unique visitors to a site.MySpace, which dominates social networking on the Web, also gained share in June from other sites that aim to create virtual communities online for sharing music, photos or other interests, Hitwise said. MySpace captured nearly 80 percent of visits to online social networking sites, up from 76 percent in April. A distant second was FaceBook at 7.6 percent.Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp bought MySpace for $580 million one year ago as part of a strategy to rapidly build up the media conglomerate’s Internet presence.
